It says in the link he played only 30 games between 2013-2022

That has to be a typo surely

Was highly rated - when they have that rating and keep doing ACL's you live in hope as the Swans did.

The irony is we were interested in him before we went for Nank iirc. As said by others Callum Sinclair and Naismith seemed in front of Nankervis, though Naismith had had his injury issues. A blessing in some respects.

Naismith's 2016 was very good, culminating in rucking in the Grand Final loss to the Bulldogs, his 12 game in a row since debuting in against the Tiges in 2014.

I hope he is over his injuries as he deserves a shot. When he is fit he will easily be your best ruckman. A very good tap ruckman and pretty good around the ground too. I rate him much higher than Nankervis, at least from a Swans perspective.
send us some kids from your cheat academy too

Looks like a strong grab. Hopefully when he plays, he enables us to exit from our backline from kick-ins… which has been a real weakness last year

206cm 108kg that is a lump of a man… added bonus is he will push Samson at training

Quality tap ruckman, quality club man

Wouldn’t be expecting anything out of him around the ground though, just doesn’t get the ball

Perfect Soldo replacement then

Finally we have got back to playing Moneyball rather than letting players get old and retire or leave for 3/5ths of **** all.

2 second round picks and lower salary to have the equivalent mature ruckman.

I do think Soldo's next five years will be impressive but if we manage to turn these 2nd round picks into the next Balta and Bolton we will be grinners!

Same page mate

Soldo will do good things at port no doubt but he was a waste in that depth/2nd role we had him in

Better business to give some more opportunities for Ryan who’s age syncs up well with Nank as a long term succession plan

Naismith is that perfect stop gap as a depth option who has a mature body and afl experience and for zero cost on our end
If everything goes right he could even be potentially putting pressure on Nank to perform as well in the number 1 role

Good business by the club on multiple levels

This is what I like too about our recruits in Kosi and Naismith. If we hadn't brought them in, then a spot opens up for Bauer and Ryan respectively. But the fact that we have brought in two guys that our young crop have to put work to get in the team is going to be great for their development. Similar to Ross how he has always had to earn his spot, we still brought in two mids in Taranto and Hopper, nothing is a given, keep competition up for each position.

No one else bothered by his age? Fill in clearly. Good luck to him.
Not ideal but he’s also obviously a stop gap as cover until Ryan comes on

If he keeps his body right it’s pretty common for rucks to play late into the 30s especially if he isn’t playing in the best 22 every week
