Hurley was pretty good to be honest. Limiting Franklin to 5-6 shots from the flanks and the arc is basically all you can do if the swans mids go into god mode like that and give it to him one out on a silver platter

Add to that the fact that he only ever kicks accurately against us. 2.7 last week, but 5.1 this week. Give me a break.

Jack

Franklin took 4 contested marks in the first half. He hardly got silver service.

I don't have a favourite Essendon player, but Cale Hooker comes mighty close.

Love you Cale kissing.jpg

when have you ever seen Franklin take 4 contested marks in a half?

He didn't even cleanly hold at least two of them as well

The marks were there. Sometimes we underestimate opponents. Hurley was the wrong match up for Franklin.

I love how filthy he gets when he gets a goal kicked against him despite the fact that game was sewn up. Love it.

How do you classify goals such as Jack's on Saturday where a different player gives away the free kick (i.e. the high tackle from Fletcher).
Forgot about that. Makes it an even 10 goals in 10 games (Still technicall on Hooker if you listened to the media).

In the context of the game you obviously mention it, but for overall exercises like this I think it's best to just include it.

Even if Fletch cost him a goal, I'm sure Hooker would've cost others a goal here and there, so you just accept it for what it is (IMO).

updated the meaningful goals list eth :D

This is where goals conceded don't tell the full story. 3 of Riewoldt's goals came in the last quarter - 2 were leads close to the boundary line - Which you give up every day of the week - 2 of Tippet's goals came from close to the boundary line. IMO Hooker clearly defeated his opponents in the last 2 weeks - In saying that, I am happier if Hooker plays CHB, rather than FB.

Was a bit disappointed in his radio interview on SEN this morning, said he hopes Fletch plays for another 2 years.

Though he would have been hoping for a few more than that..

Another scalp.

100th game next week.

Raise the bat, Cale. :thumbsu:
Tomlinson (his direct opponent) wasn't bad actually.

12 goals conceded in 11 games
