How does he play? I have had limited exposure, considering I am from the land of family ****ing

I've only seen him playing as a third tall defender at Bendigo and in the NAB Cup in 2011.

One thing (well, the only thing, really) I remember is how busy he is out on the field.

Seemed really vocal, telling players where to line up etc.

Signs of a good leader, actually.

Can't comment on his skills, they didn't stand out either way.
But as for the rest of him, he's similar to O'brien in the way, not that he plays, but the fact that he's ready to go.
He's a good height, good size already, strong lad. I'd never thought of him as a tagger but if he got his endurance up, which is seems up until his injury last year he had, he would be perfect for the role.

Well put in saying that he always seems "busy" out on the field. He's not going to be a guy who does 1-2 impressive things tonight that stick out in your mind. He'll always be in the game, contributing in many different ways. Possibly similar to Howlett when he first came on the seen. Nothing stood out, yet he does a lot.

Think Andrew McKay!

Just does everything and you hardly notice he gets 15 touches a game.

Could end up one of those "how did this bloke get to 200 games?" types, Michael Doughty style?!!

McKay's a good comparison.

I was thinking a Patfull/Gibbs hybrid.

Has good size, skill and engine, can play tall or small, back or in the middle, and goes about his business very quietly.

Needs to string games together, but is definitely an asset.

I know that Pendlebury was going at half pace, but Davis shows signs as a tagger.

Will be interesting to see how he is played in the NAB Cup.

Yeah I would never have picked that he had such good pace and he even looked to have surprised Pendles with how fast he was.

One negative I noticed which I'm putting down to nerves was that when he wins the footy in congested situations he has a tendency to panic and just handball towards the nearest Essendon player. He should take the tiny amount of extra time to assess the best option.
