Are you saying that 20+ possies = serviceable game?

I watched all of those games at the start of the year and I think saying Conca was in career best form is a completely fair call. Looked leaner and fitter than I've seen him before and looked assured with ball in hand.

Trade value would be negilable so that is a clear cut hold for mine.

No doubt. I'm one of his biggest critics and I think he was definitely on track for his best year at the club.

All very well to be on track, the facts are he has not produced anything of worth in 3 years

He has played 15 games in 3 years, a perennial sick note.

Yep that's his Achilles unfortunately. Body just can't seem to cope with the physical demands and speed of afl footy.

Reece's last injury was an impact type injury. Not a soft tissue like a hammy or calf. Those that say this latest injury shows his body can't cope with AFL have NFI

The guy was supremely unlucky on this occasion but showed enough that with a bit of luck he will be a contributor next year

I'm happy to leave it to the medical experts and Reece himself to decide if and when his body is shot.

The fact that he had himself in career best fitness at the start of this year after such a horrible run with injury shows a lot of mental toughness and will to win. Plenty of others would have thrown in the towel already. He has the potential to be a very valuable member of the side.

I would suggest Conca was pretty handy, but when dolling out statements like "career best form" it should also include "off a very low base".

Worth more to us than what we could get in a trade IMO so I'd rather hang onto him. If he comes good, he's going to be an asset to the side. If not, probably unlikely we would have gotten anything better anyway so there's no harm in keeping him.

At best, we'd get a late pick of probably not much use or value. Conca might not have been able to get on the park much but I think his determination and perseverance would serve as a good example to our young list of never giving up and to keep going when things are tough. If anyone at the club deserved a bit of luck, it's probably him.

On top of that they signed him for two years if I remember at the start of this year. So he should relax and get fit.
