Hi all,
There are some of you here with massive wraps on this bloke, I don't really get the hype.
I'm not in anyway negative about him, but don't understand the optimism for a young guy who has played such few games.
Opposition supporters would be having a larf at some of the comments on the bloke.
Not that I care about that, but we really don't have a lot to go on do we?
Why the hype?

Has size, skill and mongrel. Triple threat.

He's an excellent long kick, runs the lines, is a decent height, has mongrel and hates to be beaten in a contest.

Thanks all for the opinions,I guess I haven't seen enough of him to really form such strong views. Definitely not trying to take hope from anyone who sees the potential.
For mine he seems a natural footballer. Has time and space. His sidesteps and work in traffic reminds me of Pendlebury, and whilst I don't see him as a mid, his pickups in the wet on his game against Essendon were very impressive.

I got 31 on my jumper last year because of how highly I rated this guy at the end of 2017. Hope he turns out.

First thing me and me old man pointed out about him was his composure, and I’ve been wanting to see him play a full season ever since. Diamond in the rough.

Whenever an opposition fan asks me who i'm most excited about on our list, i say Williamson.

That's generally met with a "who?"

But as a lot of people have mentioned here already, he's got something. Call it innate talent, composure, tenacity. I just hope he gets a good run at it to see what he can achieve.

It also dawned on me that that's probably the thing i enjoy most about footy, watching a young fella who's got something, and seeing them grow and fulfill their potential. That and beating Essendon, always that. :D

Is not afraid to take the game or opposition players on. Gotta love that confidence to back yourself in.

Also has very good leadership qualities.
That will be crucial if we get an injury mess like last year, he'll already have to step up after we lost our biggest leader down back. You sort of hope he can get the best out of his teammates, too as there's still a lot of raw talent not quite realized in our defense.

Really pleasing to see him back. Incredible considering how far back he is coming from and that AR has given him the green light physically, speaks volumes of his athletic abilities and mental toughness.
