I liked CEllis's game. Did a lot of the team stuff that can go unnoticed - inside and out. He started to rack up more possessions later in the game because he was still spreading hard from the contests and giving us options. Pretty important, I thought.

But Houli was in very good form when he went out...

I'd like to see CEllis get one more week as Houli works back through the VFL, but the Selection Committee and I usually disagree.

I don't see how Houli is a certain starter. 4 weeks out, he can be rusty at times, give him a week in the VFL to get his game and confidence back. We are not desperate for him in the side, and don't drop Ellis after one week.

Corey played a bit on the half forward line at various stages, i actually think its Broad who might make way for Houli as i don't know if he is as versitile as Ellis.

Good spot, I noticed this too. I reckon with Corey's skills, spending a bit of time up forward might see him snag a couple. Toward the end of the game he took possession and was running inside 50, I hoped he would try and go for broke but I think with a wet ball in those conditions would be hard to kick it 50+ metres.

I hope he gets another game against the Suns, but you have to wonder if the wet weather helped cover for his lack of pace.
Not writing him off, we need him to come good

I don't think he is that slow at all, in the first quarter he went almost step for step with Shiel in the forward pocket and kept him under control.

9 touches 55% accuracy meh still struggles to get the ball at the top level.
Ran off mzungu a few times though which was nice to see in the second half. Would much rather him in the side next week then short! This bloke can kick the ball and we don't have enough good ball users in the side. Give him a few games

hes 20

you'd expect he will at some stage

These are genuine questions I'm asking. What's the general consensus on his eventual position and output? We can see what he is now, but where do we think he'll end up?

I'm hoping midfield, not sure if he'll win enough pill or be good enough a runner, so maybe half back. Just curious.

I think midfield, but not quite Miles-type inside, I think he would be the receiver from that initial disposal out from the pack and would subsequently use his smarts to find a target.

How's that mark he took? What a ripper and finished his work as well. One of the main highlights from the game.
