Did'nt know about all the injury sheet he was going through...good luck to him for 2018...:thumbsu:
Don't think a lot of people do/did, they just see a high draft pick not in the senior side put 1+1 together and come up with 3.

Then at the very least he will keep those players ahead of him on their toes... nothing like healthy competition.

Full preseason behind him who knows what could happen. People have such short memories. Jack Graham FFS

Exactly, it's up to him but he needs a few things to fall his way. Broad out could be one of them, I would love to see him make it because his left foot could be such a weapon.
I'll never write of anyone until they are off the list.

If all else fails KDH can coach him with his accounting .
Good to see Caracella has identified that he needs to add a hard edge to his game which has nothing to do with minor injuries and lack of preseasons .
The reality is he’s hardly missed games when you add his vfl games into the mix and he got away with his bone disorders as a junior so much that he was picked at 12. If Caracalla can’t get some grunt into him at least KDH can rub some of his creative accounting skills on him.
Summarising the article : Corey has a last season on his contract before he either becomes an accountant or a college student punter bc the RFC doesn’t put up with mediocrity anymore.

I agree! Also needs to lose the timidness he has shown in the few games he did play at AFL level.

Haven’t seen any timidness or softness TBH. Never seen him squib a contest. Needs a good year no doubt

Averages 7-8 tackles a game at VFL football and is a great contested player, is not soft at all. What he lacks is self-confidence, which is probably worse in someways, but if he ever figures out in himself that he is an AFL level talent he’ll be a good player.

Yeah. I'm liking the look of our 23~30 best players. I don't mind any of them in the firsts. Short, Ellis, Markov, Menadue, Stengle , Bolton, Moore, Soldo.

I thought CEllis showed a bit late in the season. His tackling was very good. He needs to transform himself into a Dyson Heppell type, not quick but where the ball is. Needs to play midfield in VFL all game because he has good hands and a really good leg. I don't think others are so far in front of him as people suggest. Most of his competition are outside runners, Short, Menadue, Markov. He is an inside players so Cotchin, Prestia, Grigg, maybe Lambert will see he and Miles next in line. But he needs to go to the Grigg Lambert school of gut running, hopefully a good preseason will help.

Havent seen a lot of him apart from his AFL games.
Its one thing to get vfl numbers its another at the next level.

He played 6 games last yr and averaged just 10 disposals a game. he managed just 2 tackles a game and most concerning was his c/p count of just 4 a game.
He does look slow and he seems timid. To me he will need to play an inside mid role to survive, but the numbers dont make one very confident nor does the timidness.

184cm player not sure of his size but looked undersized to me entering his 4th season he really does need to improve.
Hes had injuries so it explains some things and in a way gives him an out, but it is time to produce at the level.

Really hope he has a big 2018 and cements a spot in the side. Him and Conca and even Miles.

The trouble is trying to find a way to squeeze everyone in.

What I see is a kid with lots of talent, introverted, and in need of a hard edge (physically and athletically). He's the sort of guy that if the penny drops they come really good really fast. But sometimes it never really happens and they become one of the what ifs. It's in his court, but at least he knows that.

He's got a lot of other players to overcome to play AFL. Good luck to him. If he makes it he'll be doing really well, or we've got lots of injuries.

When I flew down for the prelim I sat beside a couple who had been holidaying in QLD and whos kids were mates with him as they all live in the same neighbourhood.
They said a better kid you will not find and yeah that basically he hasn't had his body right the whole time hes been listed with us.
I know being a solid citizen isn't everything but with a free run at it maybe he can cement his spot even though its going to be ****in tough
