Lowest AFL salary is over $100k. He initially only signed for 2 seasons and being a 2nd contract it would've been over the absolute lowest contract that Hayes Brown is on so more likely $120k. Would've been better value having a bonfire with his wages. At least could've toasted marshmallows and not been a complete waste of money. Regardless of being outside salary cap it's still money. Some of us supporters pumped a lot of money into the save our skins campaign and don't appreciate seeing the club squander it so easily.

Another bad signing could get a better ruckman in preseason or as free agent from another club this club is making some horrible contract decisions lately first nank then Mansell now Ryan our list management has gone to the toilet

Well I expected a poor season and after 3 flags, my passion isn’t as great as it was. We can’t be the best every season

None of you were any different when we were first on the ladder. So the point stands.

We come into the season with about the 9th best list. If absolutely everything went right, we might get into the top 4. If absolutely everything went wrong, we might get into the bottom 4.

Absolutely everything went wrong. Another year absolutely everything would go right, we would get into the top 4, losing finals because we are only the 9th best list, and you would be telling us everything the club should have done differently. That much is a given, we know it going into each season.
