still remember the round 3 monstering of the blues last year. dons recruited characters like 'the weapon' 'doctor ageless', they ran over the ground like men possessed, they were far bigger and fitter than a mere 4 months earlier. ****ing cheats.

Talk about and ignorant buffoon. Nobody forced your child to have those injections, he could have said no.

This parent shit is making me sick. Bring on the NBA and NFL where the players are men and not kids and treated as such.

Dank: Here take this drug
Ariel: What is it?
Dank: Doesn't matter, take it anyway
Ariel: Okay...duh

I tell you what, keep your son away from the night clubs if he can't control what goes into his body.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to out this muppet.

I think I'm speaking for most rational people when I say...

Wake up to yourself. You should be embarrassed that you even thought this, let alone put it on paper. Even your own supporters have dissed you.

Muppet.

Idiots like that are the worst possibly supporters any club could have.

ODNBlue, the poster in the Essendon Board thread that appears to be informed / claims to have a source in the Essendon football department is really lowering his/her own colours.

You can't blame them for protecting their own. But to blatantly use that guise to discredit others and broadside potential victims in this saga is woeful.
Claiming more "shock" at the media, the AFL and parties who should hitherto be given the benefit of the doubt, than his own club that on established facts, has endangered several, if not most of its players.

There is a serious contortion of reality occuring.

The Essada players have pretty much given in they all know the truth and have given up playing for Hird.

Now spreading to other clubs...I hear rumour that Andrew Collins is so disillusioned with the AFL that he is thinking about walking away from the game at years end..

What does this have to do with the topic?

A wonder the mother didn't identify herself, eh?

(That is - if it was a parent of an EFC player at all - which is a totally valid point)

What I really hope for on Saturday, and I know that this won't happen and that's fine, is for Carlton supporters to not boo the Essendon players. It is becoming evident that a number of them don't even want to be involved in that club.

It doesn't seem fair to me that the players, whose occupation is to play football, are subjected to being guinea pigs all for the sake of competition. It has surfaced that the players had little idea what they were actually taking, although they signed waivers (the waivers wouldn't have gone into detail about what the supplements actually are).

The Essendon players have a group of people above them that obviously don't have any care for their welfare and a coach that is desperate to clear his name with little care for anyone else. All other 17 club presidents backed the AFL in the presidents meeting tonight. Essendon is alone.

James Hird claims to be 100% focused on coaching, despite missing multiple training sessions to try and clear his name, fight charges and take legal action against the AFL. The players go into this game without a figurehead focused on winning.

Hate is a really strong word and in regards to football, I very rarely use it if ever. I genuinely hate Essendon and it's not because of the players, the players' performances or the history between us and them. The players are people, people that shouldn't be subjected to being injected with products that are not for human consumption.

Just my two cents.

Exactly right EBIAC.

We have a draft system now and players are selected not for any allegiance to Essendon but just because they want to make the most of their abilities.
They could have been playing for our club just as easily as they are playing for another.

I sympathize with the players almost as though they were ours. What are we really talking about? A selection. That's all.

EBIAC, it would be a ballsy move of the club to put a message up on the big screen or the banner, or out in one of their emails to show some respect for the players who have had it harder than anyone (Yes, Hird included) throughout this saga.

I hope they make a concerted effort to get our fans on board, as the jeering and vitriol is no better than seeing their fans dressing in mexican fare, etc.

It would be great if we had a club email that outlined the difference between booing the club and booing the players but at the same time, it's also none of our business. My main concern is Carlton winning and it should be everyone at the club's concern as well.
