I'm helping her through it.
I've taken full responsibility for my happiness.

I wait with baited breath for Tell All (Lies) Book.

If he covers his career than this sordid saga wont be the only thing that *FC will be sweating over.

Oh happy day. Finally he is gone, but as usual, on his own terms, with the club again agreeing to pay him to do nothing.

Without doubt, the EFC board is the most insipid, most incompetent administration in the history of elite sport. How could they get it so wrong & at such a high cost?

The audacity of the man to make it seem like a final act of honour, when the reality is he dragged the club through an absolute mire, in the name of his own glorification & then brought the club to its knees, setting it back several years. How one person could do so much damage to a club he supposedly loves, defies all logic.

The game will be the better for this person's departure.

To make it worse for them, they may have jumped the gun on this too. If CAS finds the players guilty, they could have very well just sacked him then without any payout. If rumours are to be believed though, the payout is significantly more than $700,000. Hird knows where the skeletons are buried, so a little hush hush money wouldn't be at all too surprising.

The undercurrent in his magician's act of "I'll reveal all in time.... when the time is right...." certainly never did them any favors. Sounded - and was in my opinion - guilty as hell.

Not sure if I heard this right, but is he going to write a book?
With all the media attention he's had recently, I would have thought he'd want some quiet time.

I will buy a copy.
I will tear it in half and keep one half on the mantle piece in case I run out of paper for the fire.
The other half I will keep handy in case I run out of toilet paper.......

Thats it really... Essendon* have jumped the gun and should have waited until the end of their review (and the WADA appeal at CAS) and if a significant number of players end up getting banned, they could have terminated his contract with cause and even successfully sued him for his 2014 salary and the cost of his business course in France (glorified holiday for him and the kids).

I would hazard a guess that the payout figure is going to be his salary for this and next year... probably in the region of 1.4 million. And as you said, there is probably going to be some hush money dumped under the table in brown paper bags because he knows where all the bodies are buried.

Ro Co not happy..

This is a club for which the better part of 15 years has luxuriated in its reputation as an AFL heavyweight, refusing to make tough decisions, procrastinating for years over a variety of calls, from the continued tenure of coach Kevin Sheedy back in the mid-2000s, to the continued dithering over recruiting and list management which goes on to this day, all the time an entire club's status sliding.

They should have sacked him 12 months ago but didn't have the balls. Hopefully their circus of a board survives to keep entertaining us!
They got it so wrong. Hird should have gone and Bomber should have been retained.

No ****ing way, THompson's fingerprints are all over this as well. What they should have done is immediately sacked EVERYONE and plead guilty. Does anyone even remember that Cronulla was initially caught up this and players served minor suspensions? Nope.

The Bombers have been their own worst enemy throughout this

I thought it was mentioned in his presser that he would tell his story in his own time.
"his own time", just like his "resignation".
He would have a fairly chunky confidentiality agreement with his tidy payout. If he's allowed to tell his side of things at all, it will be after the WADA appeal is finished. If anyone offers him a media gig, it will be because they want the exclusive.
Can you imagine the amount of people he's going to throw under the bus? It will be carnage.
