We got reamed, as per usual. Time to move on. Pick 42 is unders but still a very handy pick for us to use as trade bait. The list spot opening up is probably worth more than an any pick we would have received anyway.

Part of the problem with the compo picks is Hawks stupid enough to offer Battle 6 years at the reported $900K. Maybe compo should be based on the contract offer made by the club the UFA is playing for. Why should Saints benefit from Hawks stupidity- should be based on value placed on club he plays for -did Saints offer a huge contract?

Its well south of $900k. Reason stkilda got so salty is they upped their offer to around $900k to trigger band 1, battle said nah, not going back on my word with the hawks, original contract stands, so Saints were shitting bricks they'd get band 2 which is what they shouldve got!

That was rounded up clearly , why wasn’t ours rounded up , I can’t imagine would have been far off Cummings deal , could be wrong just gut feel
