Come on mate, he was tidy by hand but his kicking was crap.

You can see it’s night and day between the players who want to be out there and the ones that don’t.

This kid wanted to be out there, while quite a few wanted to be somewhere else.

They clearly love him down there. Noble said he did well during match sim as a forward, and worked well as a defensive midfielder. Arch seems like the type who won't die wondering if he was good enough

Happy with his first outing overall. Did not look out of place with the speed of the game. Made mostly good decisions, mixed with some questionable execution but his intent and effort cannot be questioned. Should keep his spot for next week pending match ups

I agree. I remember a comment recently from the coaching staff that he has learnt how to fit into the structures to play team defence. It might be initially when I watched him that he was settling in and finding his place in structures.

Execution by foot is still suspect, which it was when I watched him in the VFL as well. I thought he was defensively very good and fit into the team defence today. Unfortunately the lack of pressure up the ground didn't help any of the back 6

Having watched him in the VFL, he stepped up very well today and did far better than I expected. Need to temper expectations with disposal. Needs to take Turner's job so we don't have as many poor kicks in the back half.
