So he won his way up to being an emergency off a couple of games where he played a bit forward and showed a bit.

I'll take that, despite being drafted higher than Roberts he was never going to be a year 1 player and although he struggled a little bit, he's shown enough for mine. Good wheels, aggressive runner, decent enough by hand and foot and has pretty broad shoulders and hips so you'd think he fills out pretty well.
Shown enough to be delisted. He is no good by hand or foot. Can run.

I don't know what your system of rating talent is. When you like someone, they can do no wrong (e.g. Davey twins). When you don't like someone, they need to be delisted immediately.
It is called the playing favourites system.

He is a very bad kick.

He is a very bad kick.

I think that’s a massive exaggeration but ok.

He certainly rushes and probably lacks a bit of composure, I’ll give you that much.

Seems to be running around in cruise control a lot, never looks like he goes beyond third gear. Some say he is soft but have seen him go hard a number of times. Haven't really seen him use supposed pace. Think he will be pretty good one on one, doesn't look panicked which is a recipe for disaster in those instances.

He uses his pace, it's there. He just is lost out there. You can be as quick as you like but that doesn't matter if you aren't getting to the right spots.

Lost isn't a good thing, points to footy IQ again. Maybe get him to use his pace as a lockdown defender on express forwards, except one game I saw as mentioned he doesn't look calamity one out.

where do we see this bloke playing in 2025?

For mine, would be in the bottom 3 players on the list right now and coming from a LONG way back. Obviously seemed a more natural half back but was played all over the ground in 2024. Could we see him play as a fwd with more success in 2025?

I think he starts back.

Do not see him getting a look in. The decision making issues would need to show a massive improvement. They may try him as a pressure forward but I think he is the guy who will not make it from that draft. Took a punt on his attacking ability hoping he would improve his disposal options but it has not improved so far.

he played some fwd this year. Agree that he is coming from too far back

Always got to give 18 yr old kids 12 months before seriously judging them

I saw some small amounts of very good footy smarts and in the game thinking last year and there wasnt too many questions on his athletic ability
There was a game I liked of his when they moved him forward, just a few skill errors and poor decisions but could have easily put 5 goals on the board. People criticised the game but for a dude who is new to the sport and even semi professional environment, I thought it was incredibly positive and showed natural instincts in finding space in the forward half. Something Langford showed a lot of before his emergence.

The skill errors are going to be the make or break.
He gained some confidence during the year and became more involved and played some decent footy but the errors where a factor across the whole season and also a factor in his under 8 days.
He can play.

bit harsh to judge them so young

Never too early
Agreed, my baby is kicking wife in the womb at the moment and his technique is sloppy. Not pointing the toe, sometimes even using the heel. Absolute spud.

Should be proficient on both feet at this stage.

Sorry mate, but delist.
