Was actually thinking the same thing earlier - he's followings a very similar path to Carrots who got better as he went on. Played slightly different roles at times but he certainly picked up that tagging/centre role.Ed seems to have done a Carrazzo. Will be very important part of team while we transition to yoof.
Let me get this straight - are people suggesting Curnow has developed into a better player under Bolton? Is that what people are suggesting?
IMO Ed is a better player than Carrazzo ever was, much harder at the football and gets to more contests, disposal is similar but Curnow has more depth on his kicking.Ed seems to have done a Carrazzo. Will be very important part of team while we transition to yoof.
Agreed. He does have a better all round game than Carrots & his strength at contests is only just below that of Judd/Cripps.IMO Ed is a better player than Carrazzo ever was, much harder at the football and gets to more contests, disposal is similar but Curnow has more depth on his kicking.
Ed Curnow is still not sure he has made it in football.
The Carlton on-baller is set to play his 100th AFL game this weekend, against St Kilda on Sunday, and just as the Blues are showing significant improvement, he has found some of the best form of his career.
“My focus is on decision-making and being able to assess what’s around me,” Curnow told Carlton Media.
“(I’ll assess) If the pressure is on me and I’ve got time, or if I’m in a bit of space and can hold onto the ball and then release to an option that’s more clear.”
