He also seems to be very much part of that core young group that is really driving us at the moment. As is Clarke.

That should be considered when making list management decisions. It's not everything but it warrants consideration.

Good locker room guys.

It's why I'm so hesitant aside from salary cap, draft capital etc to start trading players in.

Let the culture grow, let them bring in more young draftees to be a part of the culture and then in a year or two get a couple of pieces to put the cherry on top of the list.

Those of us who may be a little longer in the tooth will remember the impact of getting rid of guys like Steve Carey and Peter Bradbury in the 80's.

Normal hair, great form.
Rubbish haircut, sh*t form....
I tell you, there IS something to it dammit!

damnit why didn’t I think of this? You’re right!

Surely am upgrade on Smith would drop Smith before Guelfi
I was surprised that Dev is actually rated pretty high in pressure acts this year although that could just be he is running around not being able to catch blokes.

So looking into it

  1. Anytime a tackle is laid or you touch someone with the ball
  2. Closing pressure getting close to a player disposing the ball also smothers
  3. If you chase someone
  4. If you are corralling someone

Seriously, Dev’s pressuring is still really good. You just need to watch closely to see the effect he has on an oppo player’s disposals even when he doesn’t touch them.
