I thought it was for every first round pick to be in the top 35 players in the competition?
 
Essendon must be very happy with this kid.

He was very poised and seemed to make the right decisions when he had the ball.

He did not try and over use/do it when he had ball, and just seemed a good fit in the side.

Always good to see a new player get the reward for his hard work.

Also I can't help but mention how much of a legend Fletcher is as a player (and humble bloke). I reckon he could play on in 2014 if the desire exists.

One thing that stood out was his ability keep his balance and his head in tight situations. There were a couple of plays where he picked up the ball at speed right on the boundary and I was expecting him to either fumble it out or boot it into the stands - each time he managed to take it clean and squeeze exactly the right kick, let alone keep it in.
 
Really impressed! Seems to move to the right spots to find the ball, has pace, attacked the ball hard and didn't waste many of the touches he had. Looks like a smart footballer, hope he can maintain that impact.

Very impressive debut. Already had a few mates think about getting #38 on their new guernseys.
 
Look for some red afros at the Melb game.

Low sperm count wouldn't surprise me if he looks like as much of a stoner as Nick!
Which reminds me, if he becomes a run-with Mid, will they call him "The Hash Tagger"?
 
Kommer seems way too angry to be a stoner. All the red hair and punctuation jokes must get him fired up.
