Saw this on draft central or whatever the new name is and found it interesting

He’s very clean below the knees. Athletically he excels – his agility and turning circle are that of a player four inches smaller and he’s able to create separation offensively and close down leads defensively due to superior acceleration and speed. He’s got a very good wingspan with his ability to read the ball in flight and take the ball at the highest point as good as any while also being able to reach around and spoil when he looks out of the contest.

Never bad to have athleticism In the backline

IIRC when he was drafted, he was selected for his attributes more so than his output / accomplishments.

He had all the size, athleticism, skills of an elite KPP but never really put it all into great effect as a junior.

It was always a question of 'will it all click one day?'

That sort of potential is a bit of a worry and it can sometimes takes years to find out.

If he's gone back to the SANFL and managed to finally piece it all together, then he definitely has plenty of upside and can be more than just a short-term, stop gap recruitment.

When you guys get a chance, watch one of his interviews.

Keep an ear out for his voice.

Deepish voice, very Australian, laconic. Was there anything special you wanted us to notice?

Exactly the reason the mid season draft was introduced… straight in against the bombers to lock down on Peter Wright. Don’t worry too much about game plan keep it simple for him tell him to beat his man and kick long or handball until he gets the hang of it.

With Wright, Lynch, Lobb and Max King all 200cm and waiting for us in the next four games it would have been madness to not give Lewis Young Support. He comes straight in and has a big role to play defensively while Weiters is out. Could literally save our season if all he does is keep an opponent to a handful of goals each week.

Smart and needed move.

I suspect it's picture him singing 'Stand by your Man' ??

I was going to say, if it's his deep voice, we've had the deepest so it's not as impressive to us.
