I hope his job on Betts gives him some more media attention. We are biased on here but he has to be one of the best lock down small defenders in the comp. very good intercept mark and reliable with his skills.

Probably falls into the category of someone like Ryan Crowley or Kane Cornes. Their respective coaches would probably pick them as one of the first in their sides. However if you were to handpick a starting midfield from anyone in the comp at the time neither would come close.

Think that's what Jetta suffers from, stops his man no worries at all but in terms of damage the other way is a long way from the best in the AFL.

With all due respect, he is ranked 19th in the league for disposal efficiency. Sure, a lot of chip kicks to the side, but I think he is a damaging user when he does decide to take the game on.

Yeah I don't pay any attention to that stat. I guarantee when the opposition coach is setting defensive forwards Oscar Mcdonald is the only bloke they would put less time into. He is a smart user and safe, but far from damaging.
I love nev as much as anyone but he ain't damaging
It's like when Olivers disposal efficiency is at 92%, that's great but a lot of his hand balls travel half a foot to a bloke standing still. Efficient but not damaging.

If you were picking a team to play against the AA team Jetta is picked, but to get picked in the AA team I reckon he has to do more.

He's a near lock for the squad IMO

I'm with Topkent, I love him as much as the next guy, but he's a shut down defender who is capable running out of defence. Until he's taking lots of intercept marks, or blistering through the middle then drilling passes to the centre square, he'll get overlooked.

Which is fine by me, because we currently get him in th team for a son with hardly any opposition trying to steal him.

Was getting genuine recognition for his 1vs1 ability and dominance in the telecast today. Don't know who said it first but all of Johnson, Kingy and Brown got on board probably Mahr too.

Jetta is a legend!
Based on today's telecast it would seem nobody in the media knew who he was until Roosy joined Fox and started talking him up.

Not as good as Rance obviously, but he's almost like a mini-Rance, just does not get beaten 1-on-1.

That's as good a game as I've ever seen from Nev, and he's played plenty. He did not lose a one in one, and won more than half a dozen. He is just an incredible player one out. Not sure if there's a guy on our list who could do him one out. Maybe Trac. Maybe.

Serious? He got beaten a few times in the first half one on one against McGovern and Petrie I thought the Eagles were exploiting him

Lol, he's giving up a lot against them. keep in mind both of those players were taking marks against 3 defenders all day and crashing packs to get the pill.

Simply comparing it to the statement it was as good a game as he's played. I thought WC exploited him and our defensive structure fell apart badly. Not his fault
