Pretty disgraceful by Gold Coast if thats true. Making it seem like Dusty was in constant communication with them and had never really retired. Couldn't expect much less though from a club solely built around the need to make money, and ran by the AFL.

Why would anyone begrudge a person doing something they love for another year or two if that’s what they want to do?

If anyone thinks Martin has played footy for fame, fortune and his legacy they haven’t been watching for 15-years (Carr has his eyes set on that, but Martin doesn’t).

There is no evidence to suggest GC has run some elaborate media plot to make Dusty look duplicitous, and they have zero interest in doing so.

They were asked and simply confirmed that Dusty had contacted them.

You’d imagine it was more carr reaching out, did they say Dusty himself or Dusty’s camp? Maybe it’s just carr doing his job and looking for options to present to Dusty post Richmond?

That interview is very interesting and that narrative certainly makes much more sense in the context of what we saw from Dusty…

I’ll be quietly watching from the sidelines to see how this pans out. We all know when it comes to Dusty things can get very crazy (been one of the consistent themes of his career).So I’m not going to accept/listen to all the stuff going on…

Yeah, all millionaires make there next million, not because they want more money, but because they are professionals who love doing <insert their job>.

If he loved playing footy so much, he should have tried playing more this year maybe.

The money he gets from GC will be a fraction of what he will get from the AFL for years to come through rubbish ambassador roles he will be granted for going there.

Swans list management decision for a marquee KPF in the vein of Lockett & Tippett. 9 ****ing years at Club #2 is a win/win in my book. Especially when grand finals are involved.
