I think our midfield is fine over the ball but a bit of class and speed on the spread would be handy. Lalor and Hotton will give us that down the track, but it does come in handy. At our peak, Dusty, Bolton, Cotchin, Edwards and even Prestia were sharp over short distances especially. Taranto, Hopper and Prestia now are not, Ross medium and McAuliffe might be but hasn't shown it yet. When the other side gets the ball we looked awfully slow on the spread last year.

We are still to find out what players like Green , Smith , Clarke , Campbell , Alger can produce
also with KPP sorted and inside bulls in place the free agents we chase could be the players that you mention

Sons, mate, Get a hold of the the pill, get some T/O's and play a part of link up's that lead to score involvements. Occasionally, be that bloke that your teammates run to and and pat on the back because you did the one extra thing that jagged a fork in the P. Cripps / L. Neale / Daicos / Pussy three votes game.

Do the high percentage stuff that everyone knows your capable of. Bust a gut for your team. After you've done this, do it again. Want it a bit more this season. Force others to play just that bit better. Make your name and your next contract.

Tough? Yeah, but totally doable.
