Long way to go, and like all our recruits we pump them up.

That's a big call, let's not get expectations up to heavily. Derek would have been very lucky to be selected in the GF side. That game where he played really well for VFL was when we smashed the opposition, not a difficult game to play well in. I watched him play some Bendigo Pioneers games where he hardly touched it, granted they were very poor in the back half of the season. He has a long way to go, so we building him up now is not the way to go.

Get serious mate as IT APPEARS you didn't watch his VFL games. His last game with us he played three quarters and was outstanding with people in the crowd basically saying who is this kid. We never saw him again and as i said a fitness staff at Tigerland who i got to chat with weekly during the vfl final series stated these following words.

We are hiding him until the draft period bc he's real prospect and we want to make sure he ends up on our list. We may play him in some finals ,but we don't want to risk him.


Now if you think he wouldn't have made a difference in the vfl GF then you've got little idea on how much he's improved.

No I didn't watch that game, but I've seen a lot more of him than you have. I'm not saying he isn't a prospect, I've said multiple times on this thread about his strengths and that he is a good prospect. But lets not build him up to much, like all recruits, especially ones picked late in the draft, they have a fair way to go.

That's obvious and i wasn't building him up, but just stating club opinion and what i had seen. Seriously mate get a xxxxing Grrrrrrip.

Relax TI. I take Grrr as saying Dekker is a real solid prospect, but no standout star - yet.
That works exactly with what you are saying the tiger staffer said to you.
