He didn't even have it in him to celebrate the Sellers news with the rest of the boys. I was watching from the sidelines and Cam just stood off to the side with a barely visible grin and a few calm claps. If I've noticed I bet his teammates are noticing as well.

I get that you're in contract talks but he's looking a bit like McKay at the moment - a man slowly alienating himself from the playing group.

Ben McKay displayed the same body language and disinterest when Cunners announced his retirement.

Stephenson gets a lot of hate here (don’t know why we blame a forward pocket player for not dominating in a 70 point loss, but besides the point), but even he - whose spot Sellers has likely taken - was getting around him

Was Zurhaar training?

Would you be up and about after copping death threats on social media? Not sure I would be.
At least assess the body language over half a season and see if it continues when it's not been a rough week and becomes a pattern.

I have and will continue to assess it.

I like that we all know that the internet is a shit place but when something like this happens people are all of a sudden shocked.

Are death threats on socials some new thing? No, they aren't. If athletes and celebrities actually read all of their DM's via socials they'd see countless of them. People like Messi and Ronaldo probably get 1000's a day - especially after during World Cups. That's not to condone them. People are idiots. How many are just people trying to get a rise out of someone or just incorrectly venting frustration vs. legitimate. Every AFL athlete is given a lecture about this very thing (annually) - how to handle online abuse and the steps to take. They are encouraged to close their DM's to people that aren't their friends, filter comments, block, report harrassment to the club so they can report it to the AFL and if severe report it to the police.

I'd get them almost every day playing Fifa online as a kid - especially if I played a Tottenham supporter. I bet if you did a survey of people on Big Footy that have played Call of Duty or other popular games they'd have copped the same. I'm sure Chief gets them every week. I'm almost certain a former Tasmanian poster in here sent me a few via DM after a few boozy nights.

Making it become some public thing is either going to embolden more people to do it.

Ewwww, I will be looking out for signs of “ohhhhhhhh Magoooo, you’ve done it again!”

Looked like he had a smile in the video on the website fwiw. He tends to hang back on the family day's as well as I think he's a bit more introverted than people would think. Anyway keep monitoring it the rest of the season, you could be on the money.

As long as we pump up his value and net us a band 1, then I'm not fussed.

Correct, our 5 year deal is also an ultimatum. If he's not signed by mid year, we will treat it as he's not staying.

We think he's peaked as a poor man's jake stringer so we're giving him a FIVE year offer on decent coin.

Righto.

In all seriousness, I do worry for Cam. On-field performance, de-activating socials and missing this week, just not great vibes.
But if he doesn't want to be there, he needs to go. Quite often at workplaces, the employees who you had during the tough time are not the same as those you have when situation gets better.

"tightness"

If we played Richmond at the Telstra Dome every week i'd offer him 5 years but based on current form he doesn't deserve more than 2. He's resting on his laurels now, imagine him with a fat pay cheque for 5 years...I shudder at the thought.
It's a trap to get other teams to match so that we get band 1 compo. Of course, if others offer less, then he's stupid to reject. Of course, if he really wants to leave, he could accept lesser per year with fewer years.
