After kicking an impressive 33 goals in his final year (2011) in the TAC Cup for the Stingrays, O'Hanlon was recruited to the Tigers during the 2012 Preseason Draft, at pick number 9. Brett made his debut for the RFC in round 11 of 2012 against the Fremantle Dockers, immediately impressing supporters with his long raking left foot kick and solid hands. He ended the 2012 season with a valuable eight games and two goals under his belt at AFL level, with a high possession game of 14 against the Bombers in round 22. In at least a couple of those games he was named as the starting sub.

After a pretty good first up outing against the Indigenous All-Stars, will be interesting to see how Brett performs in the NAB Cup, as he stakes his claim for a position in the team in the early rounds of the 2013 season proper.

With the likes of Aaron Edwards, Ricky Petterd and Chris Knights being added to the Tigers squad, life may be made even harder for O'Hanlon to secure a spot in the Tigers forward line. The key may well be in his ability to deliver goals, as well as effective F50 entries, with his lovely long and accurate kicking,

I have really big hopes for O'Hanlon. he has some nice talent as a forward and looks ot have that somethign that the good guys show. Hopefully he can learn from the others competing with him for a spot. he could be a big part of the DFC future if he develops well.
