There is significant back story to this. It is a site that was full Trump years ago when it was run by Dimitri Simes, a Russian-American who is almost certainly a Russian spy. Dimitri left the National Interest in 2022 and now works on Russian TV. He has also been recently charged for his influence operations in the US. The National Interest at that time was notable for pushing the discredited John Solomon articles about Uranium One, Biden's alleged financial dealings with Ukraine etc. In short, it was a propaganda site for Russia and Trump. It appears to be trying to be more balanced in the last couple of years since it has come under new management. To see an article so critical of Trumps personality. recognising he is unsuitable for leadership is a refreshing piece of reality.
