It needed to happen.

If Harris is to be a chance she needs to drop the "what came before" type speeches, they come off almost as incoherent as Biden. She needs to work on her charisma. She needs to come out swinging against Trump even before being chosen. Constantly highlight his nepo-baby/anti worker origins and desire to gut what's little left of healthcare every chance she gets.

3.5 months to do it. There is time.

Jesse The Body Ventura

Love Jesse but unfortunately the Chris Kyle saga pretty much buried him in the eyes of the media and public at large. So much so that he lives off the grid in Mexico now. Plus he's probably too pro-union/anti war/pro-healthcare for establishment's taste, would never get a look in

There's a ridiculous amount of time. More than half of election cycles don't have an incumbent, the Dems would usually just be finalising their candidate now. More than enough time for an effective campaign. 3 months is a verrrry long time in politics.

She' more intelligent than tRump, but that wouldn't be hard.
Even George W Bush is more intelliegent than tRump and that's saying something.
Even Dan Quayle has Donny covered

Just mind you but covered

They were always locking Trump in, but meant they couldn’t do any targeted attacks at Harris or potential new candidate as it hadn’t been announced.
I've never understood why they had the debate so early. Maybe (probably not) it was to draw Trump into the whole "two doddering old fools" bit, so that when a fresh Dem candidate is nominated it's just Trump left as the singular doddering old fool.

It's not even been four weeks since the debate and already there's been enough drama to last a normal election campaign!

Wasn't the thinking to catch Trump immediately after his conviction?

It's easily forgotten that it was Biden who laid the initial challenge down to Trump and laid the framework of the debate (no interference from moderators, opponent's microphones to be off while the candidate spoke - both of these just made Biden's slow trail off and incoherency more glaring).

I'm not sure I can think of a bigger political own goal in a long time.

That’s some 3D chess from the Democrats :thumbsu:

This makes virtually no difference to the end result. This twit (assuming she gets the official nod) was given the 'responsibility' of managing the southern border. And we have all seen the train wreck that has ensued. If she cannot manage a small sub-package of the role, how the hell can she be expected to manage the most powerful nation on the planet?

Electoral massacre incoming.
Didn’t Trump get the Republicans to kick the “responsibility of managing the southern border” policy into the gutter because he wanted it as a play thing during the election campaign?

How did he convince Trump to go so early is the question? If Trump had waited until 2 months from election (when most debates are held), Biden would be in all sorts of trouble and unable to withdraw. Instead, the Dems/Biden had a trial run, Biden failed, they let everyone in the GOP media and party say everything under the sun about how stupid old men are. Switched their candidate, now it's only the GOP running a stupid old man.

And aren’t they pissed :D

Think about this for a moment....

The Supreme Court has given total immunity to a guy with six months left to serve and no ****s left to give.

The Democrats trolling the Republicans at an elite level.
But don’t worry. Trump knows words, he has the best words.

I don't think it's debatable that Donald Trump and his supporters are willing to undermine democracy itself if they don't win.

The list of their attempts is long, detailed and has been proven in court multiple times.

They tried it once, they've learned from it and will try it again. I can't think of any previous authoritarian who overthrew democracy without having a couple of failed attempts first.

So Democracy is very much under threat. Which shouldn't be taken lightly.
Problem is, he ain’t the president this time, Joe Biden will be right up to when he hands the keys over to Kamala, Joe won’t have the SCOTUS, but he won’t need it, he’ll have the US military!👍

View attachment 2055787 So this is who the Left want across the table from Putin and Xi? It's a crazy old world with some crazy people in it...
So your entire argument is a jpg of her laughing ?

Cool, real substantive argument. What a joke of a poster you are.
