Its ******* absurd. The blokes been an essential cog in our midfield for years and he's done the job week in week out. Apart from Jobe and lately Heppell he's had **** all support and yet still campaigners can't see his value.

5 AFL coaches and they've all picked Stanton. Haters are clueless gits.
Its possible to appreciate and respect what he has done in the past whilst questioning his value into the future.....I'm in this category but certainly not a hater.

Agree absolutely

Will be a quiet achiever off half back and through the middle this year. I am actually excited for the bloke and I think the role will suit him down to the ground. Then he will hopefully get the love he deserves.

Was he mostly off half back tonight? Pretty handy having a backman who can run all day, rotate through the midfield and kick a couple of goals
he tends to play off the back of the pack from defence without getting forward. Will always be running into space to give us options.
His work off the ball played a big part in our ability to find space tonight.
It was heartening to see the numbers 18 & 5 working in tandem quite a bit tonight. just opposite end of the ground than we're used to

Probably the best finishing mid, along with Zaka. So please continue to handball it to him.
Honestly was shocked when Zaka got the set shot on the weekend. Usually a gun on the run but terrible set shot.

Fits into this side i think. For those banging on about lacking pace of half back, i think the first game puts the debate to rest. With players using the press system back and up forward, we utilize our speed all over the ground to full effect. It plays to the strengths of slower players like Stanton and Kelly because they are not exposed in space.

Congratulations to him, was the heart and soul of our midfield for years, was booed by many of our supporters for a few years which was really horrible to see. Fantastic achievement.
