His effort to set up Butler was a ripper and he applied his fair share of pressure.
He's been in better goal kicking form but he wasn't as horrible as made out, he made a lot of really good unrewarded leads and a few times Bolton in particular just blazed without looking, and we won well.

Irrelevant of the discussion around his selection, I reckon the exact opposite.
You realised he dropped an easy chest mark right? If he marks it, he goes back and kicks the goal, what he's in the side for.
But he dropped it, and was bloody lucky to get away with getting it near the goal square, and even luckier Butler was able to do what he did.

He was under a lot of pressure from two players but it's not the point anyway.
He, Lennon and most likely Townsend are competing for pretty much spot 22 in the team.
All I am saying is Lloyd wasn't disgusting and the team had a good win. It'll depend on what they think is most needed next week for what each different player provides.
I don't care who it is particularly.
 
Going of he's vfl form in which he kicked 2 goals 5 ( could have easily had 5) had 5 tackles so clearly defensive pressure can't be faulted and had 16 possessions. needs to come in for Lloyd who cost us multiple goals yesterday and has run out of chances

Menadue had two good weeks prior to the Sydney game.
I'll give you Rioli
Edwards has been solid.

Apart from one quarter Lloyd has been insipid for four weeks.

Lloyd performed better than them all this week. Also on Menadue I believe he needs to be dropped as he's squibbed at least one contest a game he's played in. This is a non negotiable and I would be happy for Lennon to replace him and Garth to replace Edwards or Rioli . Rioli looks buggered and all the physical work he's expected to do has taken its toll. If Lennon gets a go it will be his last chance, but personally I see nothing good in him.

I agree that Lennon only gets one more chance but he needs a Lloyd chance. 4-5 games to show us what he can provide.

I think it might be hard to watch for the first couple, but once he gets used to the speed of AFL and certain attributes of the AFL list he will be fine.
Look at how we delivered the ball inside 50 in the first quarter yesterday, if Lennon was given that type of service on a regular basis I'm confident he would kick multiple goals a week. That game style suits him to a tee.

That's all speculation and hope and I reckon he's getting great service in the VFL and he's been ok without being brilliant. What happens when the heat comes on like from halfway in the second and the delivery becomes meh? This is my worry bc he's lazy and slow by mind and body.

Of course it's speculation. I never claimed it to be something that's guaranteed to happen.
I definitely don't think he is slow by mind and when it comes to by body, he isn't any slower than Lloyd.
