B&F reflected in his 9 games this year, he was a sub or subbed out in 4 of them. Over the last 2 years he has played in 16 games, but only 7 of these has he started and finished the game. Maybe it's his fitness or other weaknesses in his game, but IMO he will be a very good AFL player. You can develop fitness and body strength, but it is very difficult further develop kicking, marking and knowing where the ball is going once in the AFL system. Whether Ben shows his talent next year at Richmond or elsewhere is unknown but he will be a very good player wherever he plays

How do you know he has walked and possibly he's considering going to a club where he will be given more opportunity to play senior games. I couldn't blame him for considering other options if he will play more games and receive more remuneration. Considering options is not having tickets on yourself particularly after watching his good mates McDonough get delisted and McBean play 2 games in 3 years.

Make an assessment on Lennon after knowing the facts. If he wanted to leave don't you think he would have nominated for the PSD by now as most other non contracted players have done ? Rather than attacking Lennon, you should ask what offer has the club put to him and then knowing the facts, make an informed comment

Don't believe no clubs have made contact with Lennon. If this was the case his Manager would have had him signed with Richmond already. If Lennon declares he wants to go, there will be plenty of clubs chasing him

Im just stating i want him to piss off if he wants to hold the club to ransom. Not attacking anyone you keyboard warrior. We just farewelled newman. Never held anyone to ransom (especially not after 2 crap years). If he hasnt accepted the deal I want him gone. Now maybe you need to stop arguing on your computer and stand up to your bullies. Is it your mummy or your boss whos making you type tough on your keyboard?

You have absolutely no idea on why he hasn't signed so stop bagging the kid and let the outcome unfold over the next week. If he re resigns, I suppose you'll bag him and the club for paying too much without knowing what he will be paid. Do you ever have anything positive to say about Lennon as I cannot understand what he's done to have upset you so much. I hope you realise we are now in the 21st century and clubs delist or trade players at their whim, so why shouldn't player managers try and maximise their players opportunities - this is their job after all.

Well sushine perhaps you tell us why he hasnt signed yet then.

Facts 1
Richmond invest #12 into this player after him licking every players ass on his 2 week trial with us & Bum chumming Lids for months after he was finished. Lids was even on the media barracking for this 'PLAYER' To come to Richmond

Fact 2
Claims he was a Richmond supporter since he was a kid and had Lids picture on his wall , Until it was revealed that he was actually a Carlton supporter the it got glossed over so he didnt look like a fool - Hmmm just a little snippett of character

Fact 3
This 'PLAYER' Has been heavily critisized by the coaching staff for not working hard enough and needing to do more and alot more has been expected from him.

Fact 4
Has never been fit enough to play out a full game in the seniors and still isnt fit enough, Already had 3 operations which the club has been patient and accommodating his rehab and development whilst at the club ( He has been unable to play than he has been available)

Fact 5
He Probably was unlucky to miss out on the final but Certainly has no rights to an automatic place in the team, His previous game was not bad but hardly a standout and was dropped for team balance/Needs as we needed another backup ruck to help out Ivan without robbing our foward line. Right or Wrong its not important , It was the selection committee's call and they made it - He;s not the 1st and wont be the last. No need to sook like a baby

Fact 6
Ben Lennon has had a contract extension on the table for over 5 months which he hasnt signed, Initially it was that he wasnt getting games and wanted to play seniors before he signed as to get full value - Understandable no Problem
Its now October 13 and 3 days into the trade period , B & F done and Gone and Contract still on the table . Same as was with Vlastuin,Conca,Martin,Ellis and many more . Syock Standard increas as per all 1st contract renewell's for a new player but with extra's being a 1st rounder - STILL NOT SIGNED

WHAT HAS THIS PLAYER DONE TO BELIEVE HE IS GOOD ENOUGH TO DEMAND MORE THAN WHATS BEEN OFFERED
Where is his loyalty for 'My Club' taking him over many many other kids who would give their righjt arm to be in the yellow & Black
Read where i titled fact 1 again as that is probably why he was selected over others at draft time ( we thought he had good character)

I really dont give a shit if he signs or not as u believe that even if he does stay, This bloke is not loyal and will piss off for more dollars at the 1st opportunity GOD HELP US WHEN HE IA A F/A - Mercenary of the highest order

Dude dusty in his first 2 years killed it and showed what he had and the player he was going to become
Dusty was dominating from day 1

This guy really done nothing yet, FFS Lambert has done more in 1st year as a rookie than Lennon
Miles has just recently been contracted up to the level and Lennon wants even more than Miles - FFS
 
I do think a bit much leeway is being given to Ben and his management here by some. You don't tend to invest a first round draft pick in someone who either:

- Isn't loyal and is looking for another club after 2 years
- Doesn't repay the significant investment put into him by the club to support him during injury
- Doesn't repay the efforts that senior players and coaches have made to mentor him
- Doesn't put in the effort on the track
- Cracks the sads because his mates got delisted (cmon, really?)
- Cracks the sads for not being best 22 and selected in the final, through his own lack of ability/experience/fitness, whatever it may be

Not saying these are true or false, but let's be honest, you'd have to think that at least one of them is.

I'm not saying lynch the guy but he's hardly making a case for us to welcome him with open arms again is he?
 
earn your money ben like rance did. if its not all about cash he would of signed by now. if its about being dropped then he is a pea heart foley got dropped and took it on the chin. sign for 2 years and show you are worth the coin you want if not then heck off

We are only assessing the situation because you don't get nothing out of tigerland so we can't make informed comments. But from what i have been told he has a contract in front of him and he has had it for a while just like dusty had but shopped himself around. Lennon is looking around don't be fooled but just like dusty he will come home crying.
 
What a horrible thread.

Players are employees now. They don't care for you or me or anyone who has followed and poured their heart into a 'club'.

**** even calling them a club... It's all a franchise and an opportunity for a career.

Games over dudes. Has been for a while, so give the kid a break.
