His manager on was on trade week radio earlier and said something along the lines of having received no offers from / no interest in Melbourne.

Minds can change of of course. But I don't know how I feel about chasing somebody who's just not that into us when we can't spend pick 13 on a player that wants to be here.

Was dreading the outcome of the meeting this morning, but the result was just brilliant. Such a horrible last 12 months, it's nice to go into the post/pre-season period with a victory like this. Viney will lift standards amongst our mids, because if they're not playing like maniacs and putting their head over the ball he'll let them know about it..

Really bluffed our way through the whole process beautifully. Nice work lads.

Must say I was fist pumping at the kids while they ate their play lunch once I realised we got him at Pick 26. Told the students to keep an eye on him and remember that I told them he would be a star.

Stoked to get him at #26 and it means we have more room to move in shaking up our list. This kid embodies everything we want out of an MFC player and I can't wait to see him belt Tom Scully next year!

Hearing this news was a genuine heck yeah moment, especially with the news of "only" having to use our second rounder.
Hopefully more good news to come during this offseason
