He does look stronger than expected. BUT he’s going to be thrown around a bit……if they can ever catch him.Is it me or does Jagga already look pretty strong? Hes definately skinny but he doesnt look weak skinny. Looks to have more lean muscle on him then he did earlier in the year.
He has much quicker feet than Josh. He moves like a Butters/N.Daicos hybrid
Won’t be for long imo.Players like Smith often go to bottom clubs where they are automatically one of the team's top players in their area of the ground. Smith gets to come in at the bottom of the pecking order and to play in a strong side around a strong core of mature players. I see this working our very well.
To me he looks like a Jack Martin typeWhen I first saw him play i immediately drew parallels to Butters (quick feet, confidence) Daicos (agility and poise) and Neale (one touch below the knees)
I just can’t believe how good this kid looks, and am more excited for him than I’ve been for any of our other kids too
YepStill Butters for me
That is the closest for mine, but Jagga is more inclined to involve his team mates than Butters. ZB likes to be da man, whereas JS is more inclined to do the team thing. He has a smidgen of Daicos in that he presents for the one-two and always has eyes for the next play.Still Butters for me
No pressure on the lad with the comps so far…
He is an overager so this year put himself through a "professional" standard training program. So it would stand to reason that he has had 12 months to put a bit on and toughen up relative to his peers that still had yr12 to contend with. Must have been a match stick last year though! Seens to have a big work appetite which is 3/4 of the battle early. Is it me or does Jagga already look pretty strong? Hes definately skinny but he doesnt look weak skinny. Your saying it could have been exile on Arden Street?Players like Smith often go to bottom clubs where they are automatically one of the team's top players in their area of the ground.
Don't know about others, but when I share traits, there is no suggestion the player will better, same or a lesser version
He reminds me of Jagga SmithStill Butters for me
It is still funny how we never really say....
He reminds me of {insert bog ordinary player}.... We always aim at a star player.
Jagga reminds me at times of Matt Crouch as well, a player that often handballs more than kicks and has low meters gained.
He also reminds me at times of Butters with his side step and slight build.
Generally when you pick a kid in the very tip top end of the draft they have a good chance being compared to some very good players. It's not hyperbole to do so.It is still funny how we never really say....

Well, we did spend pick 3 on him. If the comparisons were to Kane Lucas, I'd be concerned. It is still funny how we never really say....

I reckon this is an underrated point. For all the top 10 picks we've had this century, we've never really seen them come into an established side. It will be interesting to see how Jagga goes. Best case scenario, it will be a bit like Daicos or Ashcroft - the cream on top in a premiership pushPlayers like Smith often go to bottom clubs where they are automatically one of the team's top players in their area of the ground. Selwood and Boak great examples too.I reckon this is an underrated point. For all the top 10 picks we've had this century, we've never really seen them come into an established side.
