Welcome young fella!!

I was pretty comfortable taking either of the top 5 spoken about ad nauseum, as I don’t get to interview them, watch them live, speak to coaches and family etc. But from watching lots of games, he was the only one of the 5 that I had no “question” over - production, fitness, injury, athleticism etc.

Must say I was super impressed with the way he spoke and what he said, sounds like he understands what it takes to be a pro already which can be a large part of the battle.

Seems like we’ve also gone down the “no dickheads” policy again (not that the others available wouldn’t fit in under that policy). The kid seems to be of exceptional character, incredibly humble and hard working. Love that we’ve got him

Only just watched Jaggas 1st interviews after his name was called out. I like to watch their reactions to see if genuinely happy or not.

He is so stoked that we called his name out, as opposed to what he was probably expecting before we landed pick 3, that he would be off to one of Richmond, NM, WC or Adelaide.

Front of these kids minds is they just want to be drafted first and foremost, but back of their minds would be that they would like to play for a team that's not anchored to the bottom of the ladder and copping floggings every week.

I reckon he's been hoping and wanting to come to us, since we acquired pick 3.

Stays in Melbourne and plays for a big club in contention.

Reckon he's stoked and so am I.

Jagga derangement syndrome will be huge over the next few years. You see it with Nick Daicos each week, people go to extraordinary lengths to talk him down even though he’s an exceptional player. Jagga has done everything Daicos did as a junior and I reckon he’ll follow a similar trajectory. We’re very lucky to have him.

Also disproves alot of BS from certain people in the media and on the board that we would've taken FOS if he was available (e.g. if Draper got taken by Adelaide at 2).

He was never an option if Jagga was available.
