Question: We're playing in a GF there's a quarter left, scores are level. Where do you think we should play Goddard? I don't love him up forward (aware he needs a rest), but prefer him behind the ball.

He strikes me as some one who can very easily psyche himself out of any form, or try to do too much and end up digging himself a bigger hole.

Mind you he was far from our worst and you have to back him to reverse it, that kick he did to Bellchambers early on that split their defence to pieces was what he is capable of.

I agree with this. He was far from our worst. I expect a lot from him. He should be a top 5 player for us week in week out and should lead by example.

Goddard is travelling OK - I have no significant issues with his form - And he is playing less midfield. Some can be be over-critical.

It looks like hes playing like a guy feeling a year older. But i suppose when you are used to a guy never missign a target, when he starts to miss a few in a row it becomes glaring

This is the point. I know he is spending a lot less time in the middle. I'm ok with that. I'm not ok with him missing a hell of a lot more targets then he did two years ago.

I hope he can get back to the 2013 form ASAP.

For mine his biggest issue is lack of defensive pressure and second efforts. With Watson, Chapman and Goddard in the side too many loose players are getting free on the counter, it's being left to too few.

Agree with this.

Was pretty much best on against Hawthorn until he got hurt then he faded a little.

Feels like we are plugging holes with him which is making him fade in and out of games.

Would have loved to hear their conversation at 3QT. Hurley and Hibbo didn't look to entirely agree!

Looked to me like he was telling Hurley to acknowledge Hibberd's running.
