Roos “Trent Cotchin does not get the respect he deserves in the football world and it’s time he is acknowledged as a superstar of the game”

“He is almost the complete midfielder his hardness and speed is class and he was the class player on the ground vs Collingwood”

“I’m reluctant to say this but he’s almost and probably is the best captain in the game and in the top 6 players of the comp”

He said if he was coaching Carlton cotch would be his first pick

If you’re a side higher on the ladder you take dusty

But Roos pretty much said cotch is the player you build a side around

How ironic. :D

Carlton had their chance and took Kruezer.

Some of the stuff he does just has me in awe. He burrows right into a middle of pack, stands up with 2-3 guys hanging off him, gets his arm free and either handballs the ball forward 10-15m (sometimes turning it over) or finds a teammate by hand. It’s Voss like.

I’d still have Fyfe ahead of him but he is leading the midfield pack behind the big 3 players and is a superior leader to everyone... obviously bar Tom Lynch when he pulls on the yellow and black ;)

this man is a freak, returning to 2012 form during last year and now this year, the more free game plan suits him more, though he was still very good in the slow game plan

He has such good poise and hands in tight spaces

How good was he on the weekend again?

The play where he hurt his knee perfectly exemplifies the type of player hes become, no regard for his safety, a battering ram with pure class

That goal in the 3rd where he broke on the wing and cut in between two pies players then hit a perfect left foot 50m pass to caddy over the top, woweeeee

So should we start a father daughter thread or put those in the father son thread? I ask because according to Cotchin’s latest Instagram story uncle dusty is already teaching Harper Cotchin the don’t argue. ;)

Cotchin is also skilled in getting the ball to boot when he is tackled, even if he is brought to ground.
