if there's 8 games per round for 23 rounds and 3 games for 1 additional round that means:
there are 23 + 12 = 35 byes.
But if every team has two byes for the season, then that makes 36 byes.

Perhaps base it on who finishes where in 2010...ie: 1st on the ladder has week 1 off, all the way through to 16th placed team in round 16, then maybe GC have round 17 off, i guess if anything it rewards the higher finishing teams with 2 byes for the year?
