I would be interested in joining any BF league where all coaches are committed to chasing the 20G. Coaches would have to drop any players that are out injured/suspended/form or at risk of missing through a late withdrawal no matter how good at DT that player is so that nobody would be scoring zeros. We would have to keep everyone's scores ticking over.

For example if this comp was running last round coaches would have to drop Chad, Gablett, JBrown. Also for example nobody would select a back/centre eligible player in the centre as there is much more available talent in that position. Another point is every week each team should have one of the 10 best fit DT scorers so the league could max-out on double captain points. There would need to be co-operation in trades.

Leave your ego behind as individual league standing is irrelevant, league ranking would be everything. Is there any interest in this? 2,000-12: i like those odds...

If you do things right, you could divide $25k between 10

The problem with that is if you are chasing the league prize then you need every team to have a good captain choice every week so the top 10 DT scorers have to be spread amongst the 10 teams to max out on the double points. If you are chasing the individual prize then you need all the best DT scorers on the one team. You would expect that if the league didn't commit to one of these then it could not win either.
 
Yep, Fever is correct.
There's no way an overall 'maximised' league can win the individual prize.

A lot of leagues will have the same bunch of best players.
Where the difference will come, as discussed, will be:


  • Captain selection : the 10 teams should have the 10 best potential captains spread out throughout therefore.
  • Zeros : having none! So, yes, trade out any potential zeros each week, even if it is Bartel.
  • Non-gun selection : once all the guns are gone, consistent and improving players will be vital.
  • And selecting the best position for a player who is listed in multiple (e.g Chad as a back not a midfielder).
Fever, do we want to go ahead with this plan?
It will take a lot of collaboration and 10 very dedicated players.
But $2K each would be darn good!

Any other takers also? I don't mind setting it up.

My sentiments exactly Fever. Rota has made a thread about it aswell. I'd be in. Maybe see if we can all form the one league?
 
I would love to join a league that is devoted to the league and not the individual. Especially one that puts in the time and effort to get their league to the best. Currently placed 1624th, so pm me if you want me.

We are looking to gather up South Australian DT coaches who are ranked in the top 3000 overall for an assault on the Premium Dream Team $20k League prize. Our aim is to get our league to be number 1.

There's definitely interest guys, but need closer to the 10 people required before setting it up.

Looks like 5 so far : me, The Fever, Blinger, The Silencer, amobema.

I'm ranked 991 overall and it's my 2nd year in DT.
Won my league in my inaugural year.
