January 6th was like that assassination attempt scaled up by 100s to try and stop Biden becoming president. Did that make you feel the same way as some nutjob trying to kill Trump?
There are a lot deeper issues running through that narrative now that people have looked through the relative numbers and how and when the huge numbers of votes came in Nathan. Particularly now ,it never stacked up. Questions are being asked. Nonetheless Trump acted injudiciously and it blew up in his face. They made sure every vote was accounted for this time.

There has been no investigation or explanation of the Trump assassination attempt. Because the actions of the Secret Service can't be rationally explained . They had guns trained on him and let him shoot. It's just your regular hitjob with a Patsy like JFK. Who btw has since been erased from public records and cremated.

Nonetheless you still want to argue who did what in the past. No one's better or has better scruples. Biden and his family are immensely wealthy from advantageous deals when he's meant to be representing the people and he's a warmonger. Obama dropped more bombs on other counties than any Pres in history. With everyone cheering him on. Trump's a dealmaker with a dodgy past who is now immensely popular with history staring him the face.

So for everyone's sake let's hope he makes a good fist of it.

I'm not a supporter of any side of politics but the people of the US have spoken. I have observed massive shifts in societal 'norms' the past decade and whilst there has been some goods I feel there is too many bads. At least I believe focus should have been elsewhere. But I also come from the POV that the West is ****ed and honestly what is going on today won't have much importance over the next 20-30 years. There will be so many bigger fish to fry.

The West once the pinnacle of the ideal 'way of life'. It's gone and unfortunately a lot of the leftist popularity policies have just accelerated the economic decline. Trading out easy political wins now, for a world of pain in the long term. Opening the gates for migrants and not deporting illegals (who often bring their problems on shore) without the appropriate infrastructure/services in place to support this is just completely detrimental to a society. There isn't a case where mass immigration of unlike minded populations has ever resulted in a beneficial outcome. Check out Europe...

Anyways as stated above... Good luck once China decides to flex it's muscle. We are ****ed.
You can go back to BC but let's start with the Roman Empire. Every country/empire that has lost control of its borders since has crumbled.

It's an immensely important factor in your sovereignty but with the mass migration of hordes of people in this era it's clear most countries haven't paid attention to history. It won't end up anywhere good for Western civilisation which has been in slow decline for over a century now anyway.

I hear they get straight off the boat and find the nearest cat or dog to eat
Strangely enough I've got a different view on anyone brave enough to get on a rickety boat to get to Aus.

If they've got that much initiative and ambition we should vet their credentials closely and see if they can be settled here somewhere suitable .We need more people like that in this country.

The problem is once you start doing it you don't know where that ends up if word gets around that we're relocating boat arrivals.

It's a vexing issue and I'm not really sure how I'd handle it because it seems to set a lot of people off.

Absolutely this. 200%.

The problem is I've also seen Mad Max.

Its insane
Yer, I'm a regular watcher of Joe Rogan Podcasts and watched those 3 as well, Rogan cops it from the left but he is a tremendous conversationalist and also a deep thinking compassionate man... he is nowhere near the meathead the left paint him to be.

Just because he hunts for his own food(usually Elk with a bow and arrow) and is into healthy eating and exercise doesn't make him unintelligent.

On another note I watched JD Vance's life story movie on Netflix ie. Hillbilly Elegy after the Rogan appearance, quite a good watch, he had a pretty rugged childhood, great accomplishment to get to where he is now considering his upbringing.
It wasn’t that long ago that Joe Rogan was on the left and now the left are saying they need their own “Joe Rogan” lol

The fun part is that if Biden ordered them to just monitor and not intervene in any assassination aren't, that's entirely within his purview of POTUS since he heads up the Secret Service so is entirely legal according to the Supreme Court.

No conspiracy, just entirely legal actions per Trump's own precedent.

As you say the trouble is if you start doing that it would send the message that we had an open border if you came by boat... the tragic consequences as we have seen in the past would be encouraging criminal people smuggling enterprises and deaths while trying to make that dangerous voyage.

For the record, that list included "Nathan's Famous 2001 July 4 Hot Dog Eating Competition", the game show Jeopardy, and a beauty pageant.

I put Hot Dog eating up there with other cerebral "sports" like tiddlywinks, thong throwing and the wife carrying steeplechase run.

Some of the stuff they put up in Japan is breathtaking in it's awfulness.

I see Trump has appointed Susie Wiles as his Chief of Staff . Fwiiw I think this is the second most important position in the Government . She's light years away from the people who got these jobs in 2016 , particularly in terms of respect of both sides of the house. Maybe the penny's dropped for Trump.

So in this instance the rabid misogynist has appointed the first ever female Chief of Staff.

Another interesting demographic was that the demographic that voted the most in favour of Trump was Native American Indians 67% to the 57% he held overall.

I won't go into the total reasons postulated for this because some people will go nuts but I hope he delivers for them . He has pledged full federal recognition for certain tribes and the unwinding of federal laws Biden put in place dating back to the Obama years and beyond that has left many of them in poverty with no electricity or indoor plumbing.

It would be fitting and a great troll on the left if the first woman (and of colour) President of the United States is a Republican eg. Tulsi Gabbard.

I am eagerly awaiting to see what jobs Tulsi and Vivek get in the Trump cabinet.

They're both in the inner circle. If you look from Vance down ( he's 40 ) they're all young. RFK is getting on a bit but what was lost was that he has a huge following in the under 45's who see him as some sort of disenfranchised guru. The work he was doing was never reported on because he's going to dismantle big pharma infiltration and advertising and the MSM is crapping itself over the loss of revenue streams. Unbeknowns to the public he was a major factor in their clean sweep and especially the vote increase in Democratic strongholds. Somehow they won parts of New York.

Then in charge you have Trump who tbh is probably past it but he'll keep going , and Susie (67) who's seen it all and been successful in every role she's taken on.

The Democrats just lost the plot going with the same old ( they actually thought Kamarla would appeal to young people ) and Tim Walz was basically a laughing stock . The hope is that they take it on the chin and get some fresh faces with new ideas.

That's a very kind way to spin being an anti-vaxxer when it comes to RFK jr

A lot of people agree with him with respect to covid. Especially young people.

But aside from the rights and wrongs he's a significant figure in US politics about to become more significant

You seem to be confusing someone's ability to get elected or their popularity with how much good they are going to achieve as a politician or their worthiness to be working in these positions

No.

Not sure whether you've ben under a rock but the narrative and lockdowns through covid are now seen as a policy flaw by a majority of people. Admittedly under duress.
