Again you're talking about popular opinion. This shouldn't be used to form vaccination programs
No . Popular opinion has turned yes. But my personal experience in my family ,studies now coming out of Europe and the anecdotal observations of cardiologists around the world are seriously calling into question the rapidity and manner with which vaccines were rolled out and particularly the efficacy. The issue as I see it is that the dramatic increase in strokes and other cardiac issues amongst otherwise fit young men may be due to the effects of covid or the vaccines or a combination but getting accurate historical data takes time. And the political will to do it. Plus the kickback from big pharma who were the beneficiaries.

It'll take 20 years to get to the bottom of it but for the time being RFK is on the popular side of the debate with young people.

Yes we need to be better prepared for the next pandemic but that doesn't mean an anti vaxxer should be in charge of health care policy

And again you mentioned popularity

An 80% drop in the US GDP would be something to see.
He openly said when he bought twitter that he was burning 30 billion straight up and it was a shocking investment. But that Governments were banning accounts , restricting free speech only to their friends in MSM and he wanted to try put a stop to it.

Now whether he's just a complete BS artist or had ulterior motives who knows but one thing he did do was take a stance and stick true to his word.

I think he's an obsessive ,but certainly no fool.

Let's hope it goes better than his X takeover
I don't think Elon is too worried about whether or not he will have enough ready cash to feed and house his family... he is a modern day power house and a genius doing his bit for the advancement of humanity > X, Space X, Tesla, Neuralink and a few more.

He's not an anti vaxer . He's anti disinformation and lack of efficacy in vaccines over covid. He's not taking vaccines away from anybody. But hopefully he cleans up the pharma companies who actually fund the FDA and get their own drugs rubber stamped post haste and don't give anyone not in the cartel a look in.

Of course I mention popularity. He's allowed to be popular isn't he. That's got nothing to do with the above.

The musk rat will have spent a couple of million on consultant fees to map him out a plan on how to tackle de-regulation that directly impacts his business interests and which will save him and generate him billions. Anyone who thinks he is doing this shit for the good of the people are nuts.

Do you remember the scenes coming out of Italy at the beginning of the pandemic?

Or what happened in our nursing homes that COVID made it in to before the vaccines were rolled out?

Those would have been our reality if we hadn’t had the lockdowns and the vaccines weren’t introduced early.

The major impact for vaccines were that they severely negatively impacted people who had unknown autoimmune conditions.

If he wasn't worried about losing money why did he sack so many hard working Americans?

He is 100% anti-vax

Linking vaccines with causing autism and also being anti-disinformation doesn't work

He's allowed to be popular. I don't give a shit though.

The whole western world has been turned upside down over the last decade or so... the left were always seen as the anti establishment, anti big pharma, anti military industrial complex party, now they are in general unquestioning ardent followers of those very same institutions.

The right is becoming or has even become the anti establishment, anti big pharma, anti war party.

I'm hoping Trump seriously shakes up the corruption, lobbyist influence and the war machine that the USA currently is, and it eventually flows on to the rest of the western world.

I would not be surprised if Trump is looked back on with hindsight in 10-20 years times as one of the most influential figures in modern human history... I don't expect him to be the next Hitler like some do or the next Mandela but hopefully he is a net positive for humanity.

As far as the Pandemic and RFK Jnr is concerned there were multiple dissenting voices in the scientific space re the global group think response and mass forced vaccination and stay at home orders on almost everyone. Have a read, a concise 1-2 minute read, it was released early in the pandemic on Oct 4 2020. >

Some of the dissenting contributors to the official narrative at the time, these scientists were ostracized and silenced for bucking the group think >

Dr. Martin Kulldorff, professor of medicine at Harvard University, a biostatistician, and epidemiologist with expertise in detecting and monitoring infectious disease outbreaks and vaccine safety evaluations.

Dr. Sunetra Gupta, professor at Oxford University, an epidemiologist with expertise in immunology, vaccine development, and mathematical modeling of infectious diseases.

Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, professor at Stanford University Medical School, a physician, epidemiologist, health economist, and public health policy expert focusing on infectious diseases and vulnerable populations.

Dr. Alexander Walker, principal at World Health Information Science Consultants, former Chair of Epidemiology, Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, USA.

Dr. Michael Levitt, biophysicist and professor of structural biology, Stanford University, USA.
Recipient of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

Dr. Ulrike Kämmerer, professor and expert in virology, immunology and cell biology, University of Würzburg, Germany

A couple of million ?? add a nought or two.

Well you can't have it both ways . Before he shacked up with Trump what he was doing was benefiting humanity and he was a bit of a darling of the new economy embraced throughout Europe and then inching its way around the world.

Like it or lump it deregulation is coming in a big way in the Trump world as he implements his dream to compete with China who put up a new coal mine every week.

To get to the type of world demanded by environmentalists sadly you're going to need more commodities of which there are massive shortages. The largest portion of the world all have phones now and whatever else and they're demanding a better life.

Maybe what you say about Musk is correct but really he's just read the tea leaves and tried to get on the right side of things. He has form for getting in ahead of the crowd.

Because he saw them as excess to needs to run the company, in other words efficiency issues. Lets hope he guts some of these while he has the power >

How many people work for the federal government?

15 Nov 2023 — In September 2023, 2,952,000 people worked for the government. Data is seasonally adjusted. August and September 2023 data are preliminary.

Efficiency goes against helping the common man which is what Trump is meant to do

Could have used those employees to improve twitter

You're a classic Nathan.

Kennedy's going after big pharma. The price everyone pays for drugs around the world is outrageous . Tax rightoffs take care of development and production and distribution is zilch considering what we all pay. I hope they don't take a shot at him because they have form in that area as well. But expect a mountain of bad publicity to come his way.

I would've thought someone of your political bent would be absolutely delighted that he was taking on the biggest companies and monopolies in the world that sell product to EVERYBODY.

If he was on Kamarla's team you'd be loving him. But we know where some of their money comes from don't we.

I don't think anyone expects Musk to run a charity re X or any of his other companies.

Hindsight will dictate whether Trump ends up being good for the every day American, the majority of the American voting populace have given him a chance to show what he is going to do so for now us bloviators on Big Footy can just muse about it... all good fun.

BTW NB I just googled this, I think he is doing his bit to gainfully employ people.

As of June 2024, Elon Musk's companies employ a total of approximately 121,858 people at Tesla, SpaceX, X, and Neuralink:

So you don't give a shit is he's going to undo public health policy that has saved a lot of lives?

Also Biden, Bernie, etc have already been working to reduce the cost of medication

Huh?

You just said he's doing it at a loss just for the good of other people. I'd say he's very charitable

Tesla's are mostly made overseas aren't they?

In politics you'll never get anyone who disagrees with you to agree with you .

In fact you just go round in circles.

What's gone up here is just a microcosm of what's happening all around the world .

So I think I'm done. Nothing else to say.

Let's see if I can back a winner at Bendigo today.

I'll join you for now, not interested in horses so I will just watch one of our 2024 finals games again, I'm thinking the Prelim.

I hope you back the winner martin.

So are you for or against people with massive conflicts of interest and who stand to make billions developing self serving policies…sitting inside the house and coming up with and implementing these policies?
