I must admit, I watched this interview and I still don't really understand how this polymarket is any different to a traditional betting exchange like Betfair.

Prediction markets act more like a stock market where you buy/sell stock in certain predictions with other people on the site. It's like Betfair, if the centralised bookie part of Betfair was played by millions of individuals around the world instead.

How can people not be worried about a second Trump administration when he's put a Fox TV host in as the defense chief, a conspiracy theorist with a worm eaten brain in as the health chief, is sacking Generals who basically disagree with him...

Worse is the amount of power that he has given Musk when you dig into it.

There's a really interesting video of a guy comparing the new Department of Govt Efficiency to the Gestapo. Their roles are nearly word for word identical... and one of the core principles is basically rooting out people in the government who disagree with the President...

Sure efficiency is a great thing to chase but if it gives you over arching power to change and manipulate systems ad nauseam? Especially by a man who has received tens of billions of dollars from US agencies like NASA already??

Let's hope the stories about Musk already wearing out his welcome at Mara-a-Largo are true.

But it is. Betfair is simply an exchange. I can take either side of a bet if I so choose. Just as I can buy or sell shares on the stock market. Betfair doesn't take any side of the bet. It just clips the ticket on the way through, just like a stockbroker.

Better yet, these people should just piss odd and go live in Palestine if they feel so strongly about it because people are sick and tired of their protests that mean zero to people who don’t care. Hopefully enough folk in Melbourne should stomp their arses in the mall and run the pathetic agitators out of the city because we know the police won’t hand out some old school justice. I honestly don’t understand why these people even live in Australia when they hate the place as much as they do because a large majority really hate everything they stand for including them personally.

On top of that, imagine being so pathetic you need to go and cause violence spewing your BS propaganda about an issue people are sick of to a bunch of parents trying to take their kids to a Xmas window and then have to put up with this garbage. Time to break out the capsicum spray, rubber bullets and whatever else and swat these zeros away.
