At a kids birthday party from 11am to 1pm.

Then back in Vietnam during June & July.

It’s like something is conspiring for me to miss most of this year’s football.

There's more to life than draftees.

Annable 16 touches and 5 clearances. Underager too - looks very classy.
I seem to remember (no idea which boards/ media) comments over the last couple of years questioning his class/ polish. No questions on his contested ability or possession numbers. Would be fantastic if he was another well rounded type!

Haven't watched the third quarter but had a few goal assists and disposal efficiency seemed quite good.

Allies v WA half time.

Sam Marshall after a quieter first quarter had one superb run and carry moment streaking away through the centre with 3-4 bounces and kicking into the forward 50 which eventually led to a set shot and goal for him. A couple of other good run and carry passages of play as well.

Annable looks like a good balance mid prospect getting his fair share of clearances and while an underager looked very solid.

Gilder playing well as a KPD didn’t really lose a contest while I was watching.

Billy Richardson who I also think is an academy player but I’m happy to be corrected played ruck forward and got his fair share of hit outs. I thought he was a defender previously but I don’t follow the academy stuff closely.

Allies win in the end.

Lombard clear BOG so Suns have a good one there.

Marshall amongst the best on with 28 disposals and a goal, though I felt Annable was not far behind with a goal but the commentators didn’t mention his final stats. In the third quarter they mentioned Marshall had 5 clearances and Annable 4.

Lemmingmaster on the Draft and Trading board thread likened Marshall’s run to Blakey, which is high praise.

Richardson a little more prominent than the first half with some marks around the ground so an ok game without standing out.

Gilder appears a well built KPD with occasionally a bit of turn of pace did ok as well. At 191cm I’m not sure how he'd go on the taller forwards.

Lombard looks a top 10 pick based off the last two Allies games I've semi-watched (had on in the background).

Marshall looked quicker today that I thought he was, had a few good runs through the middle. He also showed some contested ball winning ability around the contest which was good to see.

21 disposals and a goal for Annable.

KPP who plays as an undersized chop out ruck.

Lombard is a bit of a ball hog from what I've seen oh him. Did he get his team mates involved in the game this time around?

He was better at getting others involved this week, but still has times where he tries to do too much himself. I don't think it'll be too difficult to coach out of him at AFL level when he's surrounded by other players as talented.

Just built to take over from Touk Miller.

Same criticism levelled at both Ashcroft boys
Certainly not what I have viewed from both the Ashcroft boys, in fact quite the opposite.
I can understand in your draft year maybe trying to do a bit too much because you are trying to stand out.

Seemed to me the Allies only wanted to kick to the captain last week and Lombard wanted to do it all himself. Wasn't surprised we lost as it was the most predictable footy I have seen.

Just saying that's what a lot of posters on other boards and the draft board, level at both players, often questioning their hurt factor, etc.

I believe once in an AFL system, most players, especially young players, play a role on their team, and don't have the luxury to ball hog (unless you play for the Bulldogs).

Just checking, you know Lombard isn't the captain.

Still, a lot of players did look for him with their kicks out of defence today.
