IMO He'd be ranked about 7-10, alongside Clarke Fiora and Montagna, depending upon matchups and conditions. Thats enough to get about 10-12 games this season.

I'll be the first to acknowledge Melbourne midfield isn't star studded. WE have a heap of speed, and some excellent receiving midfielders, but aftrer that.. well i'd rather not talk about it.

Or did you mean out of that list we have only three good players listeD? As in, Yze, Green and Bruce? I'd probably agree, Johnno can be pretty good too, and Moloney I just haven't seen enough of.

Powell is a gun, wish we still had him. Will be interesting to see how he goes this year.

I think whats good about melbournes midfield is that it has depth but whats not great is the lack of "greatness all the time". If you know what I mean. Nevertheless when mclean sylvia get going will be a big force obviously.

We do have a lot of depth, but no real star midfielders. Yze and Bruce are the two standouts really, but both are just as comfortable on a wing, HBF or forward line.

Last time I heard about Brooks he was playing for the Springvale reserves. If he's your best ruckman (or is that third best ruck? your post wasn't very clear on that point) then the St Kilda ruck division is very impressive.
