Results from the weekend's round:

Weston Creek 2.4 (16)
Sydney reserves 20.24 (144)

Tuggeranong 10.10 (70)
Belconnen 16.20 (116)

Queanbeyan 21.19 (145)
Eastlake 12.11 (83)

Wagga Tigers 12.8 (80)
Ainslie 14.19 (103)

The Swans reserves posted another blowout score against a hapless Weston Creek, who remain winless in 2005. Ainslie are now two games behind the Swans, with Queanbeyan, Belconnen and Eastlake tied on 5 wins each.

Oops sorry I meant Round 8, not 9

I think the creek did alright, they took 100pts off their last meeting and recorded the 4th or 5th lowest loss to the swans this season, very boring game to watch as the gameplan for the creek was keepings off and they held the swans to "only" 10 goals after 1/4 time.

Queanbeyan is the only team that will beat the swans this year as they are the only team who can exert some physical pressure.

Don't right the Lions off just yet, I give them a chance against tuggers, with 6 senior players coming back into the lineup. Should be a great day. If we don't beat tuggers we will certainly beat wagga. If we can just get our first win out of the way then we will be right. The mood is good at the club, after the reserves beat ADFA, so a win is just around the corner and a finals appearance either next year or the year after, if we keep this playing group together and add a few more key positional players.

Good to see Tuggeranong still struggling (not!).

Christ knows when success will ever come down to the valley again, ahh the memories of '86.

They play these kids year in year out and there never seems to be any improvement, I refuse to go watch these days for that reason, I haven't seen a game since the days at Wanniassa Oval.

If you read that ******** Scott Walsh in the Canberra Times, Tuggeranong have only lost all their games this year as a result of either bad luck, a young squad or a poor umpiring decision. I would LOVE to see Creek drill them next round ...

Round 9 Results
Belconnen 8.7 (55)
Eastlake 5.5 (35)

Wagga Tigers 4.6 (30)
Queanbeyan 12.4 (76)

Sydney reserves 18.9 (117)
Ainslie 9.15 (69)

Weston Creek 9.12 (66)
Tuggeranong 18.14 (122)

Sydney's 2nds win comfortably once more, and have a percentage of around 290. Queanbeyan, Belconnen and Ainslie tied on 6 wins with Eastlake a game behind. Tuggeranong won their third game of the year.

Tuggeranong won their third game of the year.

You can put this one down mainly to the Umpires.

at Half-time only 3points seperated the team, then in the 3rd tuggers kicked 8 goals to 1.

This is just one example of the baffling umpiring decisions that I believe may have cost us the game.

Tuggeranong Player takes on weston creek player with a fend. T player is tackled by 3 WC players, is spun around in takle twice before delivering a 1 handed handball to another T player. The only thing I can't gripe about in this instance is that the umpire was perfectly positioned.

This really made me mad and I tell you what the umpires know about their mistake because me and a group of other creek supporters let our feeling be known by giving them a piece of our minds as they went down the race.

Dude, get a copy of the Canberra Times today. Scott Walsh has written another article about how good Tuggeranong are. It's funny really.

Did your twos win? I was at the casino at 530 on Sunday morning and ran into a couple of the lads who were due to play at 12. They would have been in fine form!!

He even got some of our players names wrong, for instance Craig "Spanner" Spencer, could not beat Andrew Mathis in a sprint ever. see near the end of the article where it says something about spanner being able to compete in a stawell gift, span didn't even play.

The 2s lost by about 20pts, not a bad effort.

Tuggers will not go far, they will beat wagga and they will struggle to get over us again if everyone fires, Jason Oakley has been in fine form this season and he had poor day as did Tommy Daniel. Greg "Eggo" Eggins had 43 disposals for the afternoon and Ekers kicked 4goals 3.

Swans are looking unstoppable - playing some great footy - tigers and others gunna have to take it up a level/notch to challenge.

Good to see/watch me thinks !

If their AFL side bow out early then I'd say the Swans will do what they did in the SFL a few years back when they went through undefeated - forfeit the GF and go on the players trip away.
