Who do you think is a better player?

Not a lot either way but Treloar for me, easily one of my favourite players outside of my own club.

Beams would be one of the best full time mids around goals though. Outside 50,snap,left foot right foot...just knows where the goals are.

Tough poll, off what we have seen I think Beams is better, but he has been injured a lot since leaving us and probably not hit the form he has when he was at his peak with us yet. I also think we are yet to see Treloar's best. Think I'd say Treloar. But give me Beams 2012-14 back please.

Beams has been the better player but with injuries and Treloar entering his prime, there is a chance Treloar could overtake him sooner than later

At his best Beams for me. Absolute gun. But injury seems to have curtailed him the past few seasons.

I vote Beams but just for consistency for getting on ground Treloar is probably the right option now.

So does Beams. It was always his biggest knock at Collingwood. May have improved at Brisbane.

I underrated Beams early in his career and thought Sidebottom was better. Sidebottom is a very good and crafty player, but a fully fit Beams is better. And Beams is better than Treloar, who needs space to hurt. Beams is far better in close and can also damage on the outside.

Sidebottom isn't fit to lick Beams boots, he's stagnated as a player and his foot skills are vastly overrated, in fact he is overrated, i hope we trade him come seasons end to give us currency for an area of need.

I tend to agree.Sidebottom is a neat kick but hardly elite. Takes a lot of easy options.

Still a good player.

Not even a neat kick IMO, his foot skills are pathetic, what makes it worse is he can't kick over a jam tin either, IMO he's the the most overrated player in the comp.

Beams and I don't even think its close. When he is on - which he usually is - Beams is a dominant player. The big difference between the two is that Beams has a big impact on games of football - whereas Treloar tends to just collect possessions without doing much with them. If everyone wasn't so stats orientated they would see that Beams is a far better player than Treloar. Its not even close.

Treloar is a very damaging player, line breaking high possession mid with a long leg, absolute star, i agree Beams is a better player but there's stuff all in it, Beams is also much older and in his prime where Treloar hasn't hit his yet.

I wasn't talking about who currently holds more value, but who currently is the better player. That is Beams IMO. I think he is more damaging. Treloar is wasteful IMO.

Different types, Beams doesn't break lines like Treloar, IMO Beams is currently a better player due to his very underrated footskills, one of the best kicks in the comp IMO.

When you say Treloar is wastefull, name a fast line breaking high possession mid who isn't, very hard skill kicking precisely when running at that speed, Dangerfield is no different.
