Bigger bodies have been hitting him at PEGS and Cannons all year. It happens when you are 16 and your playing with 18 year olds. He can handle it. On the weekend was marked by Selwood and then Connors who was all Australian this year. Maric, Cotchin & Joyce are all great footballers. I hope Joyce doesn't get too down on missing AIS. He deserved to get in.

Maric good player agreee but not going to be anythin, typical metro footballer small and stumpy... same as all of them guns early on never end up being more then rookied then delisted sorry but my opion watched his game on the weeeknd.. feel free to cristsise but my opinon

Cant think of too many players who are small and stumpy and kick 10 at tac cup level as a 16 year old. He is a good player whos strengths are his balance-very hard to knock off the ball, kicking- extremely accurate over 50 metres, hands- one grab mark and below knees and footy smarts. weaknesses are his motor- 3km and beeps are only ordinary and accountability- he does what he likes at school and local level. He is not soft. He led the Cannons in team targets in one of his games. You could liken him as a player to a shorter brad johnson though he has a long way to go to be as good as him obviously. Trent Cotchin is a better AFL prospect than Maric and Maric looks to be that he has developed early and will not grow much more.

The brackets are an editorial insertion - He never said that he thought he was 170cm.

The problem lies in the conversion from imperial to metric - Some people don't get it quite right.

I remember hearing Josh Fraser say he was 6'6" in the old scale, but listed at 202cm, he is just on 6'8".

He's not.

I'm 180 and have a few cm's on him. 175cm's seems accurate.

Definately 175 and looks to have little growing left. Way too early and he is still pretty small to speculate about him being top ten next year. The only certainty I would make about top ten is Kruezer from the Knights. Trent Cotchin also bottom aged will be drafted before him IMO. I would prefer to read informed and rationale replies to threads rather than ridiculous statements and uninformed views.

:confused: what rationale is being used in putting Kruezer before Maric & Cotchin?

Is approx 5"10 (which is closer to 176-177cm), so not sure where u get your 170cm from. No relation to Maric from Adelaide. Not sure how much growth he has left as his dad is only 5"7.
As for being soft, can't be further from the truth. I am 15 yrs his snr and weigh a good 15-20kg more than him and he would not hesitate to run through me. Saw him play for Greenvale in a final they lost by 50 points, he kicked 6 goals out of a total of 8, and played midfield.
Also a gun cricketer winning a Snr club champion at age 14.

Kruezer will be super appealing to scouts. Did you watch the U/18 National Champs?:confused:
