I'm struggling to decide who is worse here - CM or the powers that be at the Crows.

Make no mistake - CM seem to be a bunch of charlatans who at best had NFI what they were doing and at worst took actions that a reasonable person would conclude likely to cause mental injury to others. I despise these sorts of people and the more bad publicity they can get the better, I hope they are ruined. Ultimately, these were the ones who did the damage.

But then who the **** (I want names named) at the Crows signed off on these wise decisions:

  • Signing non-disclosure on behalf of the players without telling them
  • Agreeing to continue with a program after they were told that their doctors/welfare officers - people they trusted - were not allowed to attend.
  • Not listening to what seems to be regular, repeated objections and concerns raised by their players.

Only if said "counsellor" is a professional with professional registration and university qualifications. Not, Cert 3's & 4's plucked out of a Cornflakes box. These "counsellors" have no place delving into the psyche of the brain. It's downright dangerous, and, as we've seen, the effects are long lasting. They sidelined and disenfranchised Adelaide's Welfare Manager and Doctor for a reason - to silence dissenting voices.
Not necessarily, whilst you are no doubt correct that a person with a professional qualifications/registrations would have codes that they have a professional obligation to abide by there is more to it that that alone.

This would appear to be a pretty clear violation of the Work Health and Safety Act 2012.

I also wonder about SafeworkSA remit to investigate these kind of events.

What powers/expertise do they have in this area of brain washing/abusive cohesion?

Going to guess they are more geared towards checking scaffolding than cultural oppression, given the number of toxic workplaces out there.

Then there is the political pressure to finish all this up quickly and find no fault on anyone at SA INC.

Wait till the doctors report leaks.

Had a bit to do with them over a few years in the NT and you’re spot on. If it’s not staring then in the face, they’re inept. And even then, they’re easy to lead in any direction you like. Unless some poor person has actually gotten physically damaged.

Purely on the Indigenous stuff, the fact that Eddie hasn't been adequately supported by the AFL and Crows further proves my point that Indigenous Round is hollow bullsh!t purely driven for guernsey revenue sales.
You can take that, or a similar view on literally anything in society.
Doesn't mean it can't have a net positive effect through education, representation, community participation et al.
But the world basically runs on checks and balances so unless you wanna put up some Che Guevara posters I find it generally in bad taste/faith to only complain about the so-called virtue signalling.

Crows and AFL should be held liable but AFLPA should be ashamed. Their job is to be advocates for players but they knew that it's the AFL who butters their bread so they did SFA.
By the sounds of it there were lots of NDA’s involved and that always stymies the truth

Players encouraged to strongly abuse Tex Walker for "being our captain who let us down on the biggest stage"
So it wasn’t all bad then?

This was basically what Josh Jenkins was saying on SEN

"Yeah we lost and it was disappointing, but it was against a strong team that went on to form a dynasty, on their home ground in front of their fans. It was a let down, but it wasn't such a disaster that we needed to do all this insane brainwashing crap....."
Jenkins is correct...The Crows hierarchy and coaching staff lost their freaking minds!

I think he might have copped as bad if not worse as far as childhood admissions being used against him basis the info he gave to the supposed counselors.

And very clearly mentioned it didn’t want this brought up before, during or after the camp in a public setting.

True but the rumours about the camp have been swirling for 4 years. The AFLPA should have at least checked in on the players but Dangerfield admitted that he hadn't spoken to Eddie. I'm not blaming Dangerfield specifically but the AFLPA as an organisation.

Dangerfield is good at bringing the AFL to task on minor issues when talking to Gerard but is still basically a puppet.
He is very aware of which side his bread is buttered and is obviously well versed in his planning for life after football.

They probably have some legislation under the lines of bullying and harassment but to prove an offence in court they would've needed a player to make a statement and testify in court which I'm guessing no one would've really wanted to do.

Without a statement from anyone they would'nt have any actual evidence to form an argument hence the outcome of their investigation being "no wrong doing". I'm guessing no wrong doing was more likely, "we asked a few people and no-one was willing to make a statement thus we have no evidence to take further action based on no player willing to testify in court".

It's an interesting one. Jenkins and Dangerfield are pretty clearly firm friends. I find it pretty hard to believe that Jenkins blames Dangerfield for any of this.
