Anyone could see it was pure PR and stalling for the inevitable. What do you expect him to say? "Yeah we've been looking to phase him out"? Even addressing it at all was a sign.

It isn't just a coincidence that Dodo has been shown the door within 24 months of the new board with what was once thought of as unthinkable.

Every man and his dog could see it wasn't going to be a band-aid to pull off quickly scenario. Barham played it beautifully and gave Rosa time to settle in without the hooplah to boot.
Whatever.
He didn’t have to back him at all or tell people behind the scenes the board was confident they had the right guy. This was before Rosa.
Then they told him he would still have a spot in the football department even after Rosa came in.
It should not have taken until mid season this year to work out he should not be in the football department at all.

This is another tick of approval for Barham and Rosa. We saved money on Stringer to get rid of dodo
At least they worked it out. The cool aid finally ran dry. Not giving any ticks as they believed the Essendon talk for too long.

Maybe they didn't believe the talk and were pointing it out earlier but were howled down by people defending him?

Everyone on this forum has seen this happen with this club.

The issue I have although I argee with most of the statement, Dodoro was told that he services were not required when that was the end of last year and he will have no part in the Mid year Draft or any drafts this year. Why was he there at the mid year draft this year. Glad he is gone and the bombers need it to move forward.

He said in that interview he was "stepping back from his current role" so he obviously thought he still had a job here. Glad they actually fired him rather than go out on his terms
