Confidence Rating NFL Tipping: Regular Season
The Main Prize Money comp. Each week the AE12 member shall deem to select his/her selections via the official AE website (coming soon- August), the winner of each NFL regular scheduled season game with a confidence rating of 16 (most confident) to 1 (least confident). Total score from each of the CR values from the winning teams selected will determine the AE member's weekly points output. In the event of TIED games (after OT), NO CR points will be credited.
KICK-OFF 'scheduled' TIME for each game is the deadline for submitting your selection for most regular season games but there are times when games which have a time change due to late season re-scheduling or a natural disaster occurring, then the deadline will be the new allocated timeslot.
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL will be regular feature on this seasons' schedule which means FRIDAY MORNING for Australian fans.
NO SHOWS / DEFAULT PICKS: Like last season, a default list of your preference of teams in the order of 1 to 32 will be obligated to be submitted before the season opener to cover your higher preference selection of opposing teams if you happen to overlook/ forget to submit your pick/s on the AE Tipping website. Your default list of 1-32 teams will be your fallback for any missed selections had. On the first occasion of a missed game selection, the 1CR will be utilised for the first game missed (normally a Thursday Night game). On the second instance, of another week, a missed game will count as 6CR of your higher preferenced team of the two opposing opponents for that given game. Third and any subsequent missed game selection will be a 10CR from your preferenced Default 1-32 list.
The first week of a full list of forgotten / overlooked picks will not incur a 13 point penalty like last year in which you'll receive a 'mulligan' and get your teams picks from the top. i.e.: #1 default Green Bay, #2 Denver ... #14 Indianapolis.. Week #7... your first week of the mulligan... you'll get Denver as 14CR (15 games due to two teams on a bye) However on the second and subsequent occurrence of a full list of missed selections will be given your 'flipped' 1-32 order of default teams meaning the least confident team playing that week (i.e.: say #32 Jaguars) from your default list be your selection as 13CR (vs SF) if we use Week #8 for arguments sake, so really, it's a deterent to having tipsters go AWOL and benefitting. ONCE the default list is submitted, it STANDS for the whole season. NO changes whatsoever and will be publically accessible thru a link on the AE13Clubhouse.com site.
The 3XKO default allocation will be based from your default 1-32 list which stays intact, no flipping.. With highest eligible ranked ROAD TEAM/S as your deemed default selection.
AE rookie revelation, AC83, is the reigning AE Champion. Having led from the get-go which is unprecedented in the AE annals which was undoubtedly triggered by the incredible 63 yard FG by David Akers in the shadows of half time that went a long way (pardon the pun) , tying the league record, that allowed Niners to clinch the 30-22 victory. AC83 was game enough to stick his neck out with a high CR on his beloved Niners on the road which paid off handsomely and much the reason why a great start encapsulated his perfect debut CR season.
CAN AC83 REPLICATE HIS STUNNING ROOKIE SEASON in DEFENDING HIS TITLE ? OR WILL THERE BE ANOTHER ROOKIE OR VETERAN LOOKING TO UPSTAGE HIM FROM THE OUTSET?
3XKO (pronounced Three Strikes Knockout or 3KO)
This next competition is a Knockout format. A three chances contest where you start with selecting 3 teams who you expect to WIN in Week 1.
To qualify for the following week, you must have correctly predicted at least one winner of these three teams. Elimination of the 3XKO contest comes in a process of THREE STRIKES against your name. A X strike counts against your name each time you lose a chance which includes a tied result.
*ONE RESTRICTION: Cannot pick same team which comes off a WIN from recent consecutive week. If the winning team (you selected) has a bye the following week, you can select that same team the week after.
Default 3XKO picks for your weekly selections submitted, if overlooked, shall be the HIGHEST ELIGIBLE CR TEAMS from your weekly picks. If a NO SHOW, the 3XKO default allocation will be based from your TR 1-32 list. With highest eligible ranked ROAD TEAM/S.
If there is an abundant of 3XKO survivors (8+) in December, sanctions such as TWO or THREE TEAMS to be selected to fast track the culling process. Week 16 will amount to a play-off OR showdown depending on the participants remaining.
Last season's 3XKO was the fourth time in six seasons a SHOWDOWN was required and ironically, it was between two COWBOY Hombres looking to claim the AE Sheriff's badge.
In the end, it was Sheriff CHISM who emerged, blowing the smoke away from a smouldering gun as he busted a cap in Marcuz rear end with relative ease claiming his maiden AE title in a blow out.
The 3XKO Champions diary will follow in the coming weeks to encapsulate the way Sheriff Chism lasso 'd the 3XKO 2012 title. FOLLOW THREAD HERE

With the last regular season game on the line to determine the NFC East Division Champ, smiths was in the box seat leading by 3 over Tannehill17, 111-108 with the other four finalists out of the running including the defending champ, fuey (111f), along with mcgarnacle (100), peterbuch74 (99) and statsman74 (93). It was the big game from sixth round rookie, Alfred Morris of Florida Atlantic, who ran for 200 yards and three endzone visits for the Redskins to break their division championship drought in 13 years and give Tannehill17 his crucial 6CR to bump out Smiths by 3pts (114-111) thank to the Redskins 28-18 win.

Scoresheet from SUNDOWN BOWL II
Recap of SUNDOWN BOWL II
Fast finishing tomatosauceling takes out Sundown Bowl II, 112-107 riding on the hopes of the Muscle Hamster who clocked up 142 yards and a score despite the Buccs on a five game losing skid, claiming a 22-17 win over the NFC South Champs, Falcons. Lions fall short to Bears 26-24 and those Texans outgunned by the upbeat Colts 28-16 (3rd & 23, Luck hits T.Y. Hilton for a 70 yard TD play) which surely shot down Oscarman's day of reckoning on the AE horizon.
High Roller Sweepstakes
Each weekly CR Highest Scorer/s will automatically qualify for the Week 17 Showdown sweepstakes. All weekly Scorers throughout the season will contest the Week 17 Sweepstakes in which Highest SCORE* collects from the season qualifiers.

NEW GAME **** TEMPTATION ****
This will be an OPTIONAL EXTRA COMP to play with the rest of the AE13 SIX comps. Not to disenfranchise many of the AE members who did not agree for this competition to be included, I've decided to leave this as a STAND ALONE comp that isn't for a single entry without the AE13 package. Subscription cost is $10 in addition to the $40 for the AE based on a projected numbers of 30. (We got 45!!)
As the general structure of this intriguing comp has been tweaked numerous times, please overlook previous notes from other threads and EMBRACE THESE NOMINAL CONDITIONS below.
Each TEMPTATION player selects TEN NFL TEAMS* (let's call this your 'Toplist' ) before week #1, who you will elect as to send out on temptation assignments to help gain you points throughout the regular season.
There are THREE temptation tasks from which you nominate your TEAM/S each week to attain such points as follows:
* LINES/ SPREADS (3 points reward + 1 pt bonus for the WIN*)
* TEAM SCORE 27+ (2 point reward + 1 pt bonus for the WIN)
* WINNING TEAM (1 point reward)
**** 27+ reads as over 26.5pts ****
*Favourites that cover entitles you to 4 points but the bonus point here pertains to taking an underdog team that claims the upset.
Note: There are NO restrictions (minimum or maximum) to how many TOPlist teams you send out in any given week. You can perhaps run the gauntlet of 10 teams to just win for 10 points. However there is a restriction on UP to SIX play-off teams from the 2012 season which can be selected along with TWO teams having won just SIX games or less, must be included within your TOPlist.
There is also a MNF SPECIAL: DOUBLE YOUR POINTS TEMPTATION.
However to qualify to double your points, the condition is that you only have ONE Temptation Shot for the week to send in that particular week playing on MNF. Meaning both MNF teams can be utilised. Classic conundrum: Cutting the nose to spite the face.
Note: WEEK 1 there is TWO MNF games so that means up to 16 points are there for the offering.
THREE KICKER POINTS TO CLAIM EACH WEEK: For the most CR team winners selected weekly with tie breaker being total accumulated score of your TOPlist teams that you sent in that particular week so the 'Temptation' to press more into the weekly challenge to try claim the Bonus THREE Points!! In the event of a tie after tie-breaker, both/ all claim three points.
At the conclusion of Week 17, the highest overall points scorer will be declared the inaugural TEMPTATION CHAMPION from managing your TOPlist teams who you trusted in helping you gain enough 4-3-2-1 points from up to five weekly temptations and a minimum of one temptation per week however FAILURE by that selected team to accomplish their mission = elimination of that team from your TOPlist.
Prize money % breakdown after TIE BREAKER determined at the conclusion of Week 17
If any two or more Temptation players are LEVEL on points with the same amount** of TOPLIST teams the following Prize Money is split accordingly:
Two players: 60/40
Three players: 50/25/25
Four Players: 55 /15/15/15
Five players: 60 / 4 x 10
