Just to give everyone an update on the AE site . . . this year we're getting organised.

The target date for the launch of the site is July 26 (hopefully I've managed to read through all of Woodson's OP by then).

That will give us all training camp & preseason to test out the site - we'll run a comp through preseason to make sure everything is sweet. That way when the season starts I'll have time to focus on football and there'll be no excuses when I kick your sorry arses.

I'll keep everyone updated as we get closer (& Woodson I'll call soon).

You can perhaps set up a 100 points system on a spread sheet to monitor a set of members picks, like it was suggested for the AE as an idea proposal and trial it. Nothing too extravagant with too many to keep track of and also get a few unsure of 'Temptation' to have a go at it and see of there is a late push to 'upgrade'. I'm still hoping for feedback on my 'under wraps' showcase idea for the AE which could pluck out a prize.

I reckon run a mini-Temptation comp for pre-season. That way people who are unsure or apparently don't like it (afraid of the unknown), can trial it and perhaps get on board....seeing as it's an optional thing people can pay to play, then this way we might get more people joining for it when the regular season arrives.

I've created championship badges for the individual comps of AE.
I'll gather the winners from all the comps going back to 2007, and contact Chief about installing them.

CR=confidence ranking

IMHO.. the CR, 3XKO & ND Champions merit the 'crown badges' as the other comps are supplementary comps but in saying that.. LCS is a keeper just as hard fought as ND with no turning back.

In 2009 Zarko/ Dagless claimed the defunct 1-2-3 HUT comp..

In 2010 the Spreads monthly comps were claimed by

You won the ND.. agreed DB. There wasn't a play-off for Spread games if that's what you're asking.

Ah, I see... keeping count of the aggregates.. well, in that case, you can have your song & dance now with nothing on offer.. Keep in mind that GG got BUTKUS for being runners-up in the inaugural ND Supabah back in 2008..

i agree nd cr and ko are the main comps meriting badges
tho the others arent anything to sneeze at.
the main thing is, making a badge that isn't too messy for admin to be able to say yes to.
if we have a badge for each comp and one for each year, it will get very messy.
has to be a little more generic...

examples

"AE crown CR/KO/ND" badge, and regardless of year won, the names would all go under the one badge (easy for admin).

Or a "13 crown AE" might be better, without distinction of which comp, and can include all the main and maybe sub-comps.

Having a "13 crown CR/KO/ND" badge could get messy. And it'd be kinda slack to deny a badge to winners like burningleviathan in LC.

Maybe just an "AE crown" badge.

I'll think about it some more.
