The CGI is unnecessary (as is the pre-game "entertainment" concept) and terrible, but something is wrong with audio too. Whether only on the broadcast, or the mixing or whatever, it was not good.
Pretty normal AFL GF fare really. Not good, not Meatloaf; acoustics fail, expensively pointless and pointlessly expensive.

I don't like Katy or really know her music but that was easy better than KISS. That felt like boomer entertainment lol and including kids as props for boomer music was cringe.

The CGI transition was terrible. But the takes here arent much better.

Only Robbie Williams was better than that in the last decade.
