And that run and jump by Xerri over the fence when he copped a gentle push from Jiath was called a push in the back and that led to a goal. Even that last play when Fisher snapped for the win- LUD threw the pill to him. They analyzed Nick D's handpass ten times hoping to be able to call out another free North should have got but sadly his fist connected with the Sherrin. I'd like to see the same scrutiny given to that last play.
Spot on mate. Anti pies Umpire complainers creating a narrative as they please. It’s absolutely hilarious.

Yes daicos threw the one they are all wailing about. But how about the marking contest a couple of seconds earlier at top of nth goal square? A clear free kick against zurhaar for an unrealistic marking attempt not paid.

Or how about the holding the ball against Charlie dean in the 3rd quarter that led to a nth goal? He had no prior opportunity, it was not a free kick. As noted by the commentators

Or how about xerri’s audition for the diving team at the olympics in the 2nd quarter? Nth goal from an incorrect umpiring decision.

Or maybe try on the 2nd xerri goal that came from the Maynard dump tackle free. A tackle that occurred shortly after a non call from the boundary ump when the ball was at least a metre out of bounds.

So at least 3 nth goals directly from incorrect umpiring decisions in a game decided by 1 pt. Not to mention the non free against zurhaar late that would have iced it. But yeah no worries the umps won it for the pies🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

That Daicos throw was probably there but we see that many of them go unpaid especially with that many bodies around the ball

Can’t believe the carryon from the football public about the umpiring - how about the near 10 goal advantage North had?

Let's admit it, that is the worst performance that North has put together in a century, probably for any team in that time

They let the lowly Pies back in, that was the best Pies game in the clubs history to beat the fancied Roos, even from 9 goals down in the 3rd qtr. Forget all the flags, this games trumps them all, given how amateur hour the Pies are.

Let's not also forget the umpiring, if not for that then the favoured Roos would've won for sure, not up for debate.

Have I got the narrative right?

Collingwood received 14 free kicks many of which resulted in set shot goals after half time.

In comparison we received 2 free kicks after half time.

I know right, it is wrong.
Rule 3.2.6 in the AFL rule book clearly states that the free kick count shall not differ by more than three at any stage.

Whoops, wrong book!!

Maybe, just maybe, when the pressure went up after half time by the reining Premiers, the bottom side made errors causing free kicks.
It could happen but that would not siut any game day thread.
Especially any that Collingwood are playing in.

North did very, very well but the loss was not from the umpire!
It was the mistake made in the coaches box by letting the great one off the leash.

I guess if Hill got his 50 he obviously kicks the goal and then the last 50 would be irrelevant.

Thats how projecting works right?
I don't recall that one, but sure. Then we move on to the next one, and the next one, etc. End of the day, Pies got the rub and it got them back in the game and the win.
No point denying it. Nobody can change it, but it's a fact.

The game changed when Daicos ran his tagger into the ground in the 3rd and Clarko had to put him intensive care at 3/4 time. Thats the actual story.

The melts on here are absolute quality. As a pie fan I've come to appreciate melts more and more: it's basically something one comes to acquire a taste for - rather like whisky or cigars. The finest quality of melt is Carlton, essentially because it's such an aged vintage. But, that said, you can find it everywhere - even on other threads that don't involve Carlton and that's why it's so good because you know that the melts comes from such a bitter, dark and tormented place.

If the shoe was on the other foot i'd at least admit we got an armchair ride and an ump assisted win.
Collingwood supporters the most delusional i've seen.
Once our side matures we need to put games away and take the maggots out of it.

At what point did you stop laughing?
I didn't, because it was equally hilarious that North gave up this lead - I'm still laughing now reading people blaming it on the umpires.

Like why on earth would you release the tag on Nick, he went nuts in the last quarter. He was huge in netting the win.

Hilarious result. Moore was great after QTR time too.

Given permanent AFL assistance to nmfc and Bard and now clueless Kane, they have had their own fair crack of the whip. nmfc has zero to complain.

They played poorly for a half and yep got reamed by umps like 16 other sides do*. Peculiar decision making by master coach Clarkson did not help.

* Footscray allegedly once suffered poor umpiring in a match, but Ive yet to see proof.

🤣🤣🤣
What absolute garbage. The pies dominated the second half because they upped their pressure, took more risks with ball movement and nth were not able to go with them. Umpires had nothing to do with that. Nth were hanging on for dear life in the last quarter. Only impact the umps had was helping to stem the flow in the third quarter when the clearly incorrect feee against Charlie dean directly led to a steady nth goal
