The rule changed after about 2012 or 2013 when Matt White was running after the ball for us against Freo at subiaco. Hit the umpire when he was behind the post and should of been called a goal by the rules of the time. They changed it and then about 2 years later there was a goal where the ump was basically hit him on his chest or so and was called play on.

Horrible ball use and a pretty terrible forward line. It's only a very strong defensive structure against a team without any true key forwards that has got them over the line.
